I called the hotel, they said that because I made the reservation through booking.com that the reservation is not "technically mine" it belongs to booking.com, they made it on my behalf.

Called booking.com and they pretty much said " non-refundable means non-refundable"

Soo looks like I'll be going to ft. Worth, with no con going on...what is there to do? Any suggestions? I don't know the area at all... Gonna try and make the best of it...
