My hair has a very slight wavy to it probably because of how long it is. I looked at some old pictures from when i was 14, back then it curled but not in a triangular way who knows what it does now

The black looks great. Sometimes /cgl/ gives terrible advice, it happens.

If you were to go with white, I reckon a lighter, sheer chiffon type material would look better and then perhaps white frill ankle socks to balance it all out.

I think a 'half bunches' hairstyle would look really cute with this and give just that bit of lift to avoid everything looking a bit flat.
