So.

Alright. I'm looking at creating a Nomad Torturer for Eirtakon (Or possibly Kaizokukon if I get behind schedule). Or probably never finishing it as usual because I flake like a Cadbury's....

I think I can build the Gun and Shield out of materials I have lying around, but that heavy overcoat's leaving me stumped.

It's got to be something bulky, and apparently leather rather than fabric. Does anyone know where I can get anything that can be made into a heavy greatcoat like that? Something that gives the impression of being weatherproof....

I'm a fat bastard so can carry the fucking weight. And have no issues transporting a solid slab of plywood to the con...

I'm not above improvisation, mind. Last time I did anything cosplay related I made a pretty hefty prop out of painted solid hardwood - and goggles out of electrical tape and cinema glasses.

I have other parts kicking around - I might even have a dustmask from an aborted fetus of a project that I can ravage for spare parts.

Actually. I would like to Cosplay at Eirtakon.

I'm pretty sure I can put together a shield, and maybe a gun. And rustle up a chain too.

I'm just drawing a blank on the jacket and how to put that together in a way that's both non-sweaty and convincing.

Any suggestions?

Also, does anyone know any midgets that wouldn't mind being chained naked to a shield for twelve hours a day?
