Nope. The anon is wrong. Licensed fabrics are covered under the first sale doctrine. You already paid your licensing fees when you purchased them. Resale of licensed goods is fine.

Some cons might have rules against it (off the top of my head, I know that NDK in Colorado doesn't let you sell crafts made with licensed fabric) but most cons don't care. Legally, you are covered. BootlegAnon, do some research before giving other artists wrong advice.
