This might be a little nit-picky, but I recently went to a con that I hadn't been to in a couple years. It was really fun, but I felt such a lack of interaction with people.. Everyone was almost snobby in how much greater their cosplay was than anyone else, it's like ever since these famous cosplayers have been evidently making a lot of money off this, it's been drawing out a crowd that will go really over the top with cosplays, like their trying to be the next yaya or jnig. Almost sucks all the fun out of it.
Maybe I'm bummed cause it wasn't what I expected, maybe it's cause I was really happy with my cosplay this year and felt obsolete, but what can ya do

I have a handful of main pieces but am considering selling over half of the dresses because my style preference has changed.. I started j-fash just recently and I'm sad to see the new collection being reduced already. And it feels like I wasted money on burando that I only wore one or two times..
I don't know what the fuck I'm doing desu

>shirring removed
>panel of fabric added
What could've possibly been the reasoning behind this?

>the people that follow you around because A) "We are from the same series, tee hee!" B) "Our characters are totally doing it!!!" C) cling to you for no reason because you've made eye contact. D) annoying underage cosplayer dropped off by mommy dearest with no friend group so they attach to the closest one they can find. E) the 'Creeper' either male or female with camera in hand and social skills on the back-burner.

>Anime Expo 2013 dressed as Mary Read for AssCreed meetup
> meet really cool people and some not so cool ones. Enter the Awkward Edward.
>average dude in decent store-bought with Winter Soldier inspired makeup, he would just kind of slide up to people during a shoot and stand behind them.
>OK
>we've all seen worse. Awkward Edward ends up following around anyone dressed as AssCreed characters and even tried to follow them up to their hotel rooms.
>My group of friends felt uncomfortable so I told him how we felt and didn't mind if he engaged in conversation with us, it was his unending silence that creeped us.
>the horror on his face for being addressed he ends up booking to another group somewhere.

We never really found out what his issue was, he wasn't aggressive or rude, just very quiet and puppy-like. I don't mind meeting new people at conventions, I don't mind buddy-ing up with new friends, I'm not gonna bite your head off if you talk to me. I just never understood the Amoeba effect in the cosplay comm.
