It’s kind of like a train wreck you can’t look away from, or a mess that isn’t yours, isn’t your responsibility to clean, but damn if you don’t feel the urge to tidy up. Problem is as soon as you try to give critique or point out how to better a bag, you’re shut down full stop, called elitist, a bully, or ruining the bagger’s delicate mood. The frustration with that is a lot of what brings people to rag on the group as a whole, and after several failed attempts to help someone fix their layout you just get so jaded and don’t bother anymore. Bag quality lowers every new day and you end up with shit like >>9959621 or “everything I like” bags that get 100 more likes and more attention than those with time, effort, and real love put in (if the series isn’t fotm). In a hobby like this you don’t have a constant stream of new stuff coming out (everyone has their own character or series they’re bagging for so it’s not like we all get the same hype over new merch). The FB group is a constant stream of frustration and the occasional drama. It’s part of the entertainment for this hobby in a way.
