That's fair, hope this helps.
Basically the entire thing aside from the lines & swords is meant to be able to rest under the haramaki, since the three swords will wind up at fairly sharp external angles in order to be stacked up as such (otherwise I would just go directly on the belt).

The top of the straps would be sewn to the flap, as with the fixed loop they'd thread through. As a luxury goal if I can manage the intent would be another snap set to allow the whole thing to wrap around the swords for inactive storage convenience.
