Same reason why there's so much chiffon and prints. OTT is both popular and can be sold for more. The new OTT trend is a lot dressier and fancier than sweet to the point where even AP's newest cutsews are fairly delicate and formal looking. No one would deny this is OTT sweet style wise and casual comfort wise, but this same type of coord would a lot harder to pull off as modern OTT classic even with lacy chiffon cutsews. That kind of material just doesn't go with an "opulent/regal" look.

Their style isn't for everyone but Putumayo makes cutsew versions of everything and has some plainer items.
