I'm supposed to give birth to my first ever kid in July and it's a girl and me and my husband already have a name picked out but we're stuck on how to spell the middle name. We want it to be "May" but there are tons of different ways to spell it. The spelling that everyone seems to like the most is "Mei" since my husband's family is part Chinese. I really like that spelling too. I'm just scared with Overwatch being so popular that everyone is going to think we spelled it that way because we're giant weebs who like Overwatch. I'm the only one who even plays Overwatch and I don't even really like Mei. Should we just say fuck it and spell it that way or choose a different spelling? Is that spelling cringey? The kid will only be a fourth Chinese

it's not my first con, but only my third and the first time doing this so im a little overhwelmed and will have to read up on it probably.
the closest hotels were all booked months ago so i booked a hotel 2.7km away in like janurary when i pre registered for the con.

i really dont mind walking though so i should be fine.
otakuthon was my first con and since im fluent in both french and english it was a great experience despite having to explain weird anime stuff to my french cousins.

i'm a little intimidated desu, but i actually really want to make some canadian friends and see cosplays. im not too much into the guests desu but i do like some panels. the several buildings is what's weird to me, but walking should be fine if it's not too hot by the end of may (which usually isn't, but if it is it drops by evening).

sorry for the blog post, thank you so much for explaining things up for me (>>9370642 and you!)
