Personally, it's solids > patterns > prints for me, because I'm a slow artist and more detail increases my work to beyond what I think a request deserves. Backgrounds do increase my desire to draw, but I almost never add them in the drawing itself. I look for posts like >>9708536 that have the full coord and a non-coord pose. I'm turned off by unclear coords; I refuse to spend any effort to find out what they're wearing -- I'll just move on to someone else. As for what's missing... I only ever see lolitas posting in these threads, when I'd prefer to see other J-fash (mori, nanchatte, dolly kei, and larme especially). Lolita is nice and all, but the same 3 silhouettes are repetitive and boring when it's all I see.

(I figure I might ask some questions that would help posters pick which outfit to post so they might receive more art and so artists could have more attractive requests to choose from.)
