that doesnt read as blood at all. to me, it looks more like someone doing a bad job trying to achieve a red-white gradient

look at pictures of blood splatters to get an idea of how to make it look good. seems like most of the time people just go overboard with the splatters so you end up looking like a jackson pollock painting instead of someone thats hurt badly or just finished brutally murdering someone.
