Or um, perhaps this is still a convoluted way of saying I'm not really a millennial and don't understand 'kids these days' because maybe I’m not meant to.

I'd be interested to hear what newer follows of the fashion (post 2010-ish say) think of all this, particularly those who have interest in its history and origins. I'd be curious to find out whether they have a sense of lolita as a fashion sub-culture.

Anyway, at times like this when my head starts to fill with lolita fashion related mind-guff, I like to refer myself back to pic related. Yeah, it's technically 'old school' era but seems timeless in sentiment in many ways.
