Girl Genius anon here, I've heard the novels aren't that well written? Like the plot is nice and intricate but the sentence structure reads like a very YA novel. Can you confirm if I should check it out or not?

It took me a while to get used to the art style and now I'm onboard with it purely for the plot. They'll keep stuff hinted at for years before they pull a big reveal, and I'm digging the aristocratic Paris arc right now.
