>worked hard on creating a prom dress with my mom based on one of his favorite video game series, bought two prom tickets to go
>he breaks up with me a week before prom, tells his friend group and extended friend group (all his friends) to drop contact with me or they are dead to him
>icing on the cake was my family was extremely abusive and I'd run away to his house/help his family with chores in exchange for refuge at his home
>abuse got so bad I needed to run away from home shortly after, no friends to turn to, lived like shit for years until I worked my way up
>when we broke up his parents got into fights because apperantly I was the only one doing chores around the house outside his mother, things were rocky but his mom admitted the lack of help around the house was the straw that broke the camel's back

"I'm glad I broke up the way I did when I did"

If I didn't know him I would assume he was trying to be malicious but he's just stupid. This ruined my week.
