It's a question that may get asked by many. What do you want out of a friendship? You're asking a valid question anon and you're pretty lucky having easy relations with others.
I feel like I have arrived too late in people's lives. They don't engage with me as much as I engage with them. I kind of kept to myself in both college and high school so I have missed those moments to make long lasting friendships. I had some friends in college but they became very sjw and expressed a lot of toxic views masked behind good intentions.
Long story short with what people I do have in my life ,I usually start conversations , and attempt to make plans. I just wish I could have someone who would occasionally call me/text me, make plans with me ,or see how I am? I don't want or ask for much. I just want friends who care about me too. I want to have a close friend who is interested in listening to my feelings and willing to be shoulder.
I just am not as fortunate as you are because I haven't had the opportunity to make those long lasting connections

Honestly feeling a bit sad. I feel like I have been open in my life and have had a terribly difficult time making friends irl. I have some okay connection online but I don't have any true friends . I engage and try to help lift my friends up but no one is ever there for me when I am down. I am sad. I had enough courage to finally post in the friend finding thread. I have no idea if I will ever have a connection with anyone but odds aren't looking good. I guess some people are right it's harder to make friends or long lasting relationships after high school and I am in my late 20s
