I'm still a little worried. I want to verify with you gulls, are these places really autism safe spaces? I know obviously that social norms like personal space etc are to be respected but I'm more just extremely shy and really awkward but I really want to make friends. Are people willing to accept that sort of behaviour and take me under their wing if it's obvious I just want to meet people with similar interests? My friend is a habitual congoer and does cosplay with his girlfriend and he builds up cons like they're a gift from God for people like me. I really want to grow into my face and use it to my advantage, I'm just completely retarded.
