Want to do a hoshi cosplay from Arakawa Under the Bridge

Wondering what the best way to do his star head. I have considered so far
>printing his face and putting it on cardboard, probably in some laminate decal form
>Using pillow foam cut in the shape of a star, wrapping it in a yellow fabric with his face screen printed on it
>either of the two but with my actual face (painted yellow) stuck out
What do you guys think I should do?
