I had my hair relaxed from the age of 12 till I was 30. My hair looked nice and I had no reason to think it wasn't healthy. Then I decided that I didn't want all those strong chemicals so close to my brain.
What I thought was healthy hair wasn't. My actual potential was being sapped away by chemicals. My hair completely replaced itself in about a year when it used to take months and months to coax my hair to grow a little when it was relaxed. I'm excited to see how long it might get in a couple more years.
