Less weeby vocaloid music, gives me headaches and never goes with slow steadycam pans.

Less boring-ass steadycam pans. It's a copout; it covers up your lack of videography skills. If they're gonna be steadycam shots, make the person do something related to the character, film them INSIDE the con, with people in the background, make it dynamic and give me some god damned post-con nostalgia.

When I watch postcon vids of one con, I see the same cosplayers, over and over and over again in the same boring pans. Film people who aren't "perfect." Chances are, they might be the people who act more in-character than the perfect cosplayers who stress out about having a pretty/static face throughout the entire shot.

I think it was Deerstalker Pictures who do close-up detail shots of the actual cosplays people are weearing - please do this. These videos are being watched mainly by cosplayers. We jack off to embroidery and serged hems.

Also, CosplayinAmerica always includes the "average" cosplayers in his stuff and it feels way, way more like a community because of this instead of just watching the "stars" of cosplay. He does interviews rather than music vids, but he shows such a good perspective of the community as a whole.
