I'm planning on making this but am stuck on how to attach the floating bits at the bottom of her dress to the actual costume. I plan on attaching the individual lines to a clear hoop, but how can I attach the hoop to the dress? My initial thought was to extend the hoopskirt to be longer than the hem, but you'd be able to see the ribbons holding the hoops together that way and it wouldn't give the illusion of the lines floating above the hem. Any advice?
