A follow up to this... I called my bank and they said they would clear any translations coming from China for me, yet when I tried again I got the same errors. So I tried again in a couple hours, same thing. Finally, just to rule it out, I borrowed a card from someone and tried it - and the fucking thing worked with no problems. So, uh, I got to pay for the stuff, but now I'm confused and a little mad at my bank. Will I have to borrow a card every time I order from taobao? It's so annoying. (They're both mastercards too, so it's not a problem about not accepting my type. Mine has a chip though?)

You should be able to image search toaboa directly on the mainland site? I thought I saw someone mention it. You could also look through 宠物小精灵 背包 (pokemon backpack). I mostly saw gengar and squirtle backpacks when I skimmed the first two pages, but it may be there.
