Hmm...it's almost as if...hmmmmm....the social rules set in place for courtship.
...hmmmm....are structured around men having to be chivalrous and tactful...hmmmmm...and women are more passive.....hmmmmm....so men have to be more assertive and....hmmmm.....it's almost as if....hmmm....evolution has weeded out men who don't do this because their genes get removed from the pool as women aren't going to be the one doing the cat and mouse game as hard as men.

Hmm...boggles the mind. Hmm. Perhaps the behavioral patterns of other highly social animals could give clues to this hypothesis, but we can't do that because of course humans are completely different! Hmmmm....well I'll think it over after going to a club, a place where people hook up regularly for no reason other than just liking how the other looks and dances, and totally not engage in courtship ritual behaviors commonly found in other species....hmmm...
