Can someone give me some advice? Because sometimes I do things stupidly and take the long way round instead of seeing an easier solution.

I want to make some wings for Maleficent, and I have 2-3 months to do them. I'd like to make them articulated, but I'm a bit nervous of the whole harness thing as I don't have a lot of time to fiddle about with it. I see some people making them, and others using ones from costumes. Are there any that people would recommend?
