Do you really think this helps improve our image as a bunch of promiscuous, slutty, vapid idiots who barely know anything about the characters we cosplay as?

Cosplayers already have a gutter tier reputation unfortunately. I don't want to perpetuate that with stupid "omg this guy who wasn't a hottie looked at me once!" crap.

Shit like this is the reason virtually all of my con buddies are males, the amount of made-up crap and sheer hypocrisy from some girls is astounding. You and I both know, as girls, that you exagerrate a lot of this stuff and that you'd be perfectly fine with a lot of 'creepyness' provided the guy who was doing it was some lithe, hairless asian who looked like vaguely female.

Quit making the rest of us look like complete bitches to the guys we actually share a hobby with.

And to the girls who are legit harassed: Don't post about it on tumblr for SJ-cred or faux-sympathy, notify the damn authorities or con-staff!
