How do Baby's turtleneck pullovers compare to AP's? I have one of AP's but it's awfully snug despite my frame being thin, and even though it's wool it's see-through to the point that I could never wear it with a skirt, only under a JSK.

I was wondering if pic related would be less see-through or would only be appropriate for use under JSKs as well.

Haenuli rerelease schedules are up. Anyone planning on getting anything?

I'm very disappointed in there being no skirts, I know they're becoming less popular in the fashion and I shouldn't have expected any but still. No stained glass prints for me, I dislike the cuts other than the skirts. It's a very ambitious rerelease schedule though.

I wanted Just One Bite in a skirt but I'll buy the JSK rather than potentially never having it since no one sells the smaller sizes secondhand. Haenuli confirmed it'll come in both fabrics, I'm not sure which one looks better irl so I guess I'll go with jacquard.

She didn't directly trace or steal anything though. She drew one set of figures in the print using a pose from the movie poster for the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, since it was a Phantom of the Opera themed dress it was a visual reference that made sense. I didn't even like that dress but the community took it too far. Using poses as references or inspirations is fine, especially when it's a fairly iconic theme. Many artists do that, do you all really think every element of every print (like the kittens on IW's prints) is fully original?

And when people were upset, Haenuli did apologise (pic related) and released a new version of the print with fully original art. People have nitpicked and poured over her designs for so long since this stupid scandal, if she were a serial tracer she would have been caught several times by now. I don't own any of her clothes and they are not particularly my style, but I genuinely think that the community has taken the situation way too far and started making up things that aren't true about it. We all love a bit of drama, but there's enough to complain about without adding fake stuff to it.

Imo their main pieces are the best, accessories are better bought elsewhere unless we're talking about their cotton bows (pic related), but I don't like shelling out brand prices for ribbon bows so maybe it's just me. Also, their cotton pieces are superior to their poly pieces.

I own 2 JSKs, 3 OPs, a few skirts, socks, blouses, and 1 cardigan. The quality of the blouses/dresses is fantastic. Everything feels well-constructed and sturdy.

I agree with >>10081836 in that my cotton JSKs do feel a little more luxurious than the poly pieces, but the poly pieces I own are all long sleeves OPs so if they were made of the same thick, lined cotton they'd be pretty weighty. I love all of them though.

The accessories are nice, and splurge if you want to, but basic stuff like bows and headbands can be found easily second-hand for cheaper than the site offers (even during sales). The only accessories worth splurging for are the hair clips/bows that are more elaborate and designed to match a specific dress/JSK.

One this I will warn you about - the pearskin (which is featured on a lot of OPs with yokes) is a tiny bit sheer. My just-darker-than-my-skin bra shows a bit, so an undershit/cami is needed if you're eyeing one of those dresses.

What is economics?
Japan = little farmable land, so little domestic leather production = expensive. Most beef is from Australia, USA, or South America.
Protectionist trade policies = 30-40%+ import tax on leather, plus production and overhead = expensive.

No need to be so hostile. If you come into this board saying “ my mom” or “ I’m a dude but want to dress in maid lolita cosplay” we are going to call you a sissy and treat you as such. If you where serious ( which how you’re acting I’m 100% sure you are not and just trolling) you would come in not announcing you’re a dude or that your mother wants you to dress in such a fashion. It’s cringy and pulls up large red flags. No one cares if you’re a man. No one gives a shit what your parts are between your thighs or who what’s to dress you up. People only announce this shit if they want special treatment ala fetish degrading style. It’s behavior like that that shows you’re a sissy fetishist. If you where dead serious you would omit the gender and the parent part of it and ask “ hey I want to really be serious about the fashion, how do I get better. Where do I find maid style dresses that don’t look like a costume”.

I'm really short, 5'1" and it's a good length for me, just below my knees. It's also not tiny in the bust, if that's what you're worried about. I'm a C cup and I can wear a bra with it, not a binder or sports bra and its not tight at all. The waist is also relatively high, just below the ribs so it's quite slimming. Honestly it feels like I'm wearing a nightgown when I'm in it, it's really comfy and I highly recommend it!

The only problem I have with it is that because it's 100% cotton, it attracts dust and lint like crazy, so I'm always lint rolling it. It's not such a huge issue though, and it's so elegant and comfortably that i really couldn't care.
