As the floordinate poster in question, I just wanna step in and clarify that my thyroid cancer is in tentative remission right now. Meaning, no cancerous activity was detected a few months ago but, now I have several reasons to believe it might be back...and I'm coming up on a few important follow-ups with my doctors so we'll see how it goes.
Between dealing with the hormone adjustments (from the total thyroidectomy) and my fibromyalgia, I'm pretty much set up for being super fatigued and in pain all the time. The only reason I've even been able to make floordinates is because my new fibro medication is working well enough to allow me to do so. I'm still exhausted all the time and pretty much only leave my house for doctor's appointments right now, which I can barely be irked to change out of my pajamas for let alone screwing with hair, makeup, and a nice outfit.

To anybody reading, please feel free to DM me on whatever social media if you want to talk to me more about this (or to vent/give concrit about my floordinates, I promise I won't get huffy with you).

That's why all the arguing is just reeeeeee bad instead of actual concrit on the flatlays, we have the capsule wardrobe thread doing just fine and it's just an extended version of the same concept. All the creeps come to the COF threads. They're usually 80% reeeeee-ing and 20% actual concrit.
Flatlays seem like a really nice way to keep your spirits up while you're healing, I think it's a great idea and your coords are very cute.

I have nothing against you or your outfit, I'm just pissed that your outfit is considered fine despite featuring a piece directly from the Soviet navy, whereas a similar hat from nazis (or even a similarly themed hat from a lolita brand, see: D. I use similar pieces from the soviets as well (though I remove all insignia related to them as I don't want to give those symbols any 'air time', but that's just me). I'm just pissed that there's an enormous double standard because according to most young westerners, Soviet insignias and items are considered cute decoration, whereas someone doing the same with Nazi attire would be crucified on the spot. nowhere did I say you're virtue signalling personally (I was referring with that to those same people who get on people's ass about Walkure), or that you're sympathising with war crimes.

i just came here to clarify that i'm not wearing the insignia because its "cute" or because im blind to the historical context. in fact, the reason i mentioned that i was a collector was in the hopes that people would understand that i'm not just wearing it to make a nice coord, but that i get the social relevance and gravitas of incorporating a historical piece.
i just thought i'd try to discourage any further argument about the subject by providing some context from the person actually wearing it. I appreciate your input, but please know i dont wear it out of disrespect or to intentionally get a rise out of people.
