When I first started coming to /cgl/ back in 2007 there used to be "body progress" threads.
This was a time before /fit/.

I miss these days. The demographic of /cgl/ is like >75% female which makes it much better than /fit/ which is predominantly a bunch of ego lifting larpers just trying to be the "biggest".

For old times sake..

What are you currently working towards?
Dieting/fasting?
Trying to get in shape?
Progress pictures?

In the old days, this thread was contained to friday. Also it was later decided it didn’t belong on this board.

Good luck with your thread, these usually get nuked. You can however post in the thinspo thread on fa, make a food related thread on ck or post in the correct thread for each question on fit or make/post in the women’s fit thread. Fit guys aren't that bad but unfortunately, I tend to lurk thinspo on fa instead.

I stopped coming to /cgl/ because it basically died around 2010-2011.

Even now, I see some threads that have been up since May.
Fucking May

It's no wonder this board is dead.

I've been on /fit/ for the past week. It's full of /pol/ and incels. Anytime something female related is mentioned the thread gets derailed with shitposting. Rarely do you get actual advice, motivation or questions answered.

I've been changing my lifestyle since March of this year. What spurred it is my partner and I became long distance due to a job change and I wanted something to look forward to when we met up every few months.

I started adding fitness to my routine about 3 weeks ago and my flexibility is really improving. I do a full body workout, 20 mins of cardio, and 10 minutes of stretching/yoga 3-4 days a week now. So far I've lost 4 inches off my bust, 3 inches from my waist, and 3.5 inches from my hips. I don't weigh myself because it just demotivates me.

My goal is to get to a 92 cm bust so I can buy dresses that fit 94-98 cm as the max. I just want my partial shirring dresses to fit correctly! I'm currently 6 cm away from my goal. This will probably take me all summer and maybe drag on into the fall, but I'm not in a rush. I only wish for my dream dress to fit by November so I can wear it at Disney with my partner. :)

Was 23% body back in September 2018. Currently at 15.2% body fat now and plan to reach 14% by August.

I'm both a cosplayer and a Lolita, so my goals are weirdly at odds with each other. I'd like to fit my dream dresses, but I also want muscle, enough to cosplay some shounen types and show off my arms and stomach. I'm flat enough to open chest bind, and have, but I'm embarrassed and ashamed of my stomach flab.

I've been doing a combo of fasting and keto for the past month and a half and have almost lost 10 lbs! I know it's mostly water weight because it's slowed down now, but this morning I was down another lb and I know if I stick at it, I'll prob lose another 5 by the end of next month.

I haven't been able to motivate myself to work out yet, because I have way too many hobbies and can't budget my time. It's also hot as fuck, which doesn't help. I know those are all excuses though. I think I'm going to make a note book of fitness goals to stick to each week, and tape all my motivational pics (dresses and my favorite characters) inside.

Hey anon, an easy way to fit fitness into your day to day is to find 30 minutes of free time and pull up a YouTube video of body weight exercises. You can do most of them in your pajamas and it does make your heart rate go up. Focus on full body and ab workouts. I also like stretching videos and yoga because gaining flexibility makes me feel fitter. Try it out!

If you want core strength (abs), I’d suggest pilates every other day with yoga on the days in between. Low impact with good results, all body weight based and videos are easy enough to find. Source: am an athletic coach.

I can't fit into my dream dress OP that I own and is just gathering dust in my closet.
So I started counting calories with a 1000 limit per day and walking about 3 miles a day.
I'm gaining weight instead of losing it.

Hey, depending on how recently you started, this is normal. When I first started working out and eating better I "gained" 4 lbs, but that was a combination of extra water weight from my muscles being used for the first time in a long time and period bloat. Keep at it for 3 weeks and you'll start to see results if you were honest with the counting.

I can't tell you how to live your life, but 1000 calories is 200 calories too low to be sustainable. If you're struggling with portion control I suggest fasting for one of your meals and eating normally for the other two. No snacks.

I probably get the other 200 from my drink. I mix 1 cup of lemonade with 1 liter of water (I can't stand the taste of water, or fake sweetners so this is the best compromise I can think of to give up soda and sweet tea)
I'm in week 2 and yeah, I've gained exactly 4 lbs.

Keep at it anon. You're making healthy choices and that's progress too. If weighing yourself demotivates you, try measuring your progress with soft measuring tape. Bust/waist/hips is good data to have. Just remember that weight loss isn't always linear. Your body is a chemical soup that can make you hold on to weight or lose it depending on various factors. If you're consistently under maintenance calories and moving, you'll see progress eventually.
