I took down and rearranged all of my anime posters, culling the ones I don't care for any more. Perhaps I'm still just patting myself on the back for getting it done, but my entire living space feels so revitalised. I have space for new ones. I have a new colour balance that's more thought out. It's like my room's are filled with a new kind of energy. Is this some Feng Shui bullshit? Either way it's a good feel.

Read the protocol and diet of someone who has had the surgery. They have to very strictly control their diet or face all kinds of problems. You just need to set down the fork.

Do a 2-3 day fast, just drink electrolyte fluid. It will give you a rude awakening on just how much you have built your life around food and eating. Then make a commitment to get your life back.

-learn portion sizes

-walk more

Yup! It’s not shocking that 4chan has terrible advice for weight loss, but the biggest things to look at are your lifestyle and emotions. Figure out why you are overeating (often a mix of being bored, coping with emotions or not understanding nutrition) and why you are sedentary. Then try fixing those things. There's nothing wrong with moderate fasting, and lots of benefits for food addicted people. A 2 day fast with electrolytes only is a very good *experiment* for anyone struggling with their overweight state. It can be a big wakeup call to show just how much many people's lives revolve around food and food addiction.
Practical longterm advice? Calculate TDEE at goal weight, sedentary and eat that. Or even easier, overweight women, eat 1200kcal per day in protein, non-starchy veg and include one fruit per day. No one ever starved this way.

YES
So many people don't understand that obesity/food addiction is typically the symptom of a problem, not the problem itself.
People over eat for often the same reason they over drink.

>> No.10206345

>>10206327
Food addicted people need to face their addiction. A short fast is a great way to do this plus prove they aren't going to weakly fade away with little to no food on a long term restriction diet. If you have over 30 pounds to lose and you do it at the accepted moderate pound a week diet that's typical, you'll be over half a year at it. Longer with more to lose. It takes some fortitude so it's good to know you aren't gonna die with low or even no food intake for a bit.

There is no binging or purging with a 48 hour fast. Normal weight healthy and hydrated people can easily go without food for 2 days as a challenge or experiment to explore their eating habits. It would be a great challenge for someone food addicted to prove this to themselves, and there is no health risk to doing it.
Why does any mention of even light or short fasts make people lose their minds? Most normal people fast daily for 8/24 hours already because what is sleep?

Lolita related feels - its easier to stick to my diet and keep hitting my goals when I wear lolita at least once a week and limit how much I wear really stretchy forgiving clothes. I can feel fitted clothes get tight right away if I slack so it keeps me honest.

Even complete medical fasting is a thing, anon. Funny also how people who are so cautious about ED are still quite fat and very unhealthy in many other ways.

Reading this thread of someone that intermittently fasts and even got her boyfriend to try (he loves it) is really funny to me.

Some people struggle with food choices every day. Choosing to make one less food choice per day improves my quality of life because it reduces my anxiety over food.

I also average out with a healthier caloric intake over the week when I fast. It's not too hard to understand that someone who's overweight already has an unhealthy relationship with food. Therapy and self analysis can only take you so far, you also have to overhaul deeply ingrained habits and socialization surrounding food. I'm a woman who is in a stable, mutually agreed upon traditional relationship like this. Many women would still actually like this kind of relationship but it's an unpopular view to broadcast because most other women shit on you for it and some men just think you are a gold digger or lazy. So you have to put yourself out there harder as a traditional male looking for a more traditional relationship in order to find these women. And you do have to be making good money in a stable upwardly mobile career already for us to bite.
