Guy at my school keeps calling me a "loli" and I don't know how to tell him to stop

It's not just him not knowing that loli isn't the short form for lolita, he's purposefully saying it

Every time he sees me he's like "look it's a fucking loli"

It's extremely annoying, I wouldn't mind if it was a one time thing but we go to school together and I see him every day

I'm the OP of that question and she was the first person I had on mind as well. It's not just that she has the most main pieces I've seen, but so much of everything else as well - blouses, cardigans, boleros, socks, shoes and accessories - that even when she finally rewears a main piece, she makes a completely different coord with it. And then there's the fact she updates her IG with a new coord every day!

I don't follow many people on insta, but ia that her coords are really boring. They're good and she has a big variety of dresses, but the way they're coorded is very basic. It's like the lolita version of jeans+t-shirt every day.

dorithsellam has a very distinctive, vampy look even in sweet. imo she's a good example of wearing the clothes and having a personal look, rather than getting lost in the frills

fannyrosie is the same as above. she wears a big variety of classic stuff but there's little touches that define her personal style.

mahoudolly wears fairy kei, but she's got a huge variety of coord styles and she's not afraid to experiment with stuff outside the norm for the fashion like skinny jeans.

ruby_c.plus wears a lot of styles of jfash, all totally OTT, and her accessories are always fantastic. She experiments a lot with legwear and stuff.

Giving positive feedback when you write about an unresponsive seller just because the item arrived one day is absurd. Sames goes for finding minor flaws that weren't listed.

>> No.10288892

>>10288864
Same here. I actually don't think her coords are boring or cookie cutter at all, she does lots of mixing and matching with different colour combos, blouses, legwear etc. I also like seeing someone just wear their glasses with the fashion instead of needing to being all perfectly matching. It shows that she is an actual human being wearing street fashion instead of a dress up doll.

Also wearable, everyday coords =/= boring. Idk why gulls seem to think it's impossible to make interesting and experimental coords that are still wearable. The two aren't mutually exclusive, and at a certain point all OTT looks the same, that can be boring too. Being able to coordinate your pieces in so many different ways isn't boring at all.

I semi-agree with you guys but I also think she could stand to work on her styling a little bit. There are some handy devices you can use to make bumbs in your real hair, but they are mostly for tiny bumbs. They follow the same principles as the sacks people use for Rococo Hairstyles. I have two kind of them, a sticky moon shape one that comes in three sizes which you can tower up and put under your hair, as well as a big moonshaped piece that is covered in synthetic hair, that I can wrap into my hair and put it below my hair. It is hard to explain and I don’t know the names pf them. But for proper Hime Gyaru hairstyles I always use wigparts. I get ya anon, other anon is being obtuse. Sometimes I want to rinse my dishes out, pet my cat, take the garbage out, etc, without getting my clothes messed up but I’m not going to change the second I get home just to put it all back on again when I go back out if it’s just little quick daily chores. Some people treat lolita like a costume they only wear once a month and don’t understand. I want to live my life and not being too afraid to do things because of my clothes, but I don’t want to ruin a $400 dress, either. Bodyline is awesome for that.

Oh did you get the OP? I got the jsk because AP's sizing doesn't work for me (sleeve length and no back lacing). A lot of cardigans aren't made by lolita brands or specifically FOR lolita but it doesn't stop them looking like shit?

A lot of regular otome, jfash and normie brands make cardigans that dont look like a weird sack on the person. Also I doubt that the designer was unaware of lolitas and specifically didnt want it to go with it.

That doesn't make sense. Trying to lower costs gives them even more incentive to make use of it, because using the print to add detail means you can keep the production costs low for a very plain dress, and simply let the printed parts carry the dress. For eg a number of IW and btssb dresses have a different print across the top of the dress but the cut is simple so it still looks good. As for AP, they've has always paid attention to the print details on their bits and pieces, eg pauldrons, the centre of their bows and waist ties (so they can be plain but still look good).

I usually only see upside down when it's an indie, or when using commercial fabric, and that one time Bodyline printed Love Nadia backwards. Kind of not surprised to see it coming from Baroque.

Are Puvithel pins usually so expensive or are these pins just really big? Is the increased charge to help Lor be able to split profits with Puvithel or something maybe so she benefitd from the sale too? Cause $48 for a set before tax and shipping is still $24 per pin for a basic enamel thing.
