Match #6006 here reporting to my Santa... In the aftermath of Christmas I looked into your package again. It is not being delivered by USPS. It is in the hands of the Swedish postal system. On the 12th of December it was registered at the customs office. It has supposedly been looked over for fees since then. I emailed them and asked if everything's alright, and the reply was to just wait longer... I may post sad cats, but somewhere deep inside o want to believe the package is not lost. It's just caught in the Christmas avalanche of gift-sending and e-shopping. The postal workers ought to dig it out before the Grinch check, but if worse comes to worst I do not blame you. I blame the Swedish postal system, god damn.

Santa I LOVE everything! I don't mind it was mostly accessories cause I'm one of those people who fusses over main pieces and then forgets about accessories haha. I've actually been eyeing the hime amuse cat for a while and the Santa Mikleo is one of my favorites! Everything is Code Geass and cats and I love it. Thank you so much! Not sure if it can be seen in the photo cause I take terrible pics but the pusheen pin is adorable too! The code geass stuff is going to be the bulk of the price, it looks like there is a manga, dvds (box set of the series?) some drama cd, and other stuff. That itself isnt cheap. I think the box set is going to be about 50$ alone. You can probably say the manga is about 15, then the other CG stuff maybe is also 15. Then whatever else is there even if it is a bunch of smaller stuff will add up.

Yeah Santa even left the tags on some stuff and I know a ballpark price for some of the items that didn't have tags just based on me shopping around in the past so I know fully well it's withing the 100 tier. A thread or two ago my Santa even said there was one item that hadn't arrived by the shipping date so she'd ship it out later when it arrived (I'm really existed to see what it is!). I actually welcome smaller items and accessories because it'll help add to my wardrobe and I can mix/match them with coords and whatnot.

I know I've said it but I love everything I've recieved! It feels a bit like some anons are weirdly sour this year. If some Santas want to spoil their matches and spend hundreds, that's great but I join these to have fun and not be spoiled so if Santa didn't go insanely all out like others have done, that's perfectly OK! As long as a person meets their tier requirements and the giftee is happy I feel like other anons should lay off or learn to at least relax a bit.

The package came right before I was about to leave town, so I guess the frilly gods up there took pity upon me? I caught a cold yesterday, and this was the perfect thing to cheer me up! The wrapping paper you used was so pretty, and everything was so carefully packed.

I was surprised when I saw the honey necklace because I’ve been waiting for the artist to restock that version. To think that it was my santa who managed to nab the last one! Not to mention all the merch of my husbando which are pretty hard to come by nowadays! The Hijikata plush is completely up my alley as well (I have a similar plush except Hijikata’s wearing his regular uniform, so I can’t wait to put them side by side).

Did you email in when you posted them? In this instance, if your giftee/card-receiver-person does not post before the grinch check, f you have proof of postage/proof of delivery that will go a long way. I think you should just be really, really, really specific with your own forms. We have an itabag thread that regularly shittalks bootleg, so most santas are going to err on the safe side and gift a smaller gift of more expensive, genuine licensed items, unless you actually specifically mention that you're okay with bootlegs and prefer quantity over licensed. Or mention if you prefer cosplay supplies over merch, or if you want other things and don't collect merch at all.

(only mentioning bootleg as the genuine folder and figure would cost that much if they're genuine, or way less if they're bootleg, which is the only reason I can think of anon asking why so little.)

Everyone else has been more or less fine with their gifts or absolutely loved their gifts. You join this event knowing it's going to be a surprise what you get and you're taking a gamble.

Personally I think it's someone either not in the event or someone who got blacklisted. A year or two ago there was this one giftee who got grinched because her Santa signed up for the event then sent her expired food and used items because "I'm too poor to afford your wishlist and everything you want that I have, I don't want to give you because I'm greedy" or something to that effect.

They defended themselves right up until the bitter end for sending used nail polish, dusty books from the 90s, and random expired energy bars while taking in gifts themselves.

With all the salt this year coming from either "You people going over budget ought to be ashamed! Even $10 over is too much!" or "How is that X-Tier? It looks so cheap!" it's probably one or the other being someone too young/cheap to get in, or a past grinch just throwing salt.

The coat collar (if that's what it is, I think?) is lovely, and the Baby cardigan and AF top are great!

For my card matches - you both have outdone yourselves with all the little goodies you included, I just feel terrible about the postal fees! I would have been happy with just a card but I was so pleasantly surprised by all the wonderful little additions you both included.

I've wanted a decoden case since like middle school but could never get one because my phone was always some knock-off trash. You did an amazing job on it! My present arrived on my doorstep today! To be honest, I thought I would have gotten grinched since I emailed both Santa and Elf-chan and even posted in the thread because we never got responses when the shipping date passed.
First off, I love everything in it! The little wristlets are adorable and comfy (not tight on my wrists at all)! The headbands fit both my regular everyday outfits and if I wanted to finally make a gothic coord! The crystals are both beautiful and arrived on the full moon, so they are already in my bowl with my other crystals soaking in the moonlight! The tea smells delicious and I can't wait to brew it! I'm not the biggest fan of lemon and lavender tastes but I am excited to try the candies!

Hello #2555! Sorry for the late reply, my life has been a bit busy but I heard you have still not recieved the second package! I feel so bad it hasn’t arrived yet! So because I mailed it from the airport in Japan, it was shipped via Airmail and regrettably did not have a tracking number. That being said, it has the same information on it as the previous package with my name and phone number in the sender information. Is it possible to inquire with your local post office and provide my name or the origin country of the package? I can provide my personal info that was on the sender info section, and also can send you a picture of it as it has very distinctive and unique patterned tape wrapped around it! The weight is 4240 grams and it is approx. 35cm long if that helps identify it too.

I absolutely love the Listen Flavor shirt because that brand has grown on me so much. The Torbjorn framed photo is so amazing I just recently got his golden hammer in Overwatch so I feel like this is some sort of reward for my achievement haha

The Duffy is adorable and him dressed as Sulley is perfect because now he matches the Sulley headband I have. He'll fit in great with my Duffy pin collection when I go to Tokyo Disneyland this year.

The towels and the jewelry are wonderful as well and I'm so excited to have all these new jewelry and pins. You have such good taste at picking stuff out!

It’s most likely that the parcel you sent will be returned to the address you specified in sender’s field after 30 days of storage at my PO. Next year I will definitely try match within the EU. My santa is very far away and shipped really close to the deadline, so while it's not against the rules, it still feels pretty bad to not receive my gift yet when it's already so far past Christmas. Especially since I shipped mine early and it arrived/was posted before the holidays.

Because that’s how Russian Post operates. We don’t have door delivery in Russia unless it’s EMS. We can only receive parcels and valued letters at the post office, and for that we need to present a postal slip issued by that office confirming they have the parcel and one’s personal ID document. The recent changes to delivery process are called "simplified reception of mail" and suggest that postal offices will no longer provide people with postal slips, so you should be presenting a tracking ID or SMS from the postal office. Of course this SMS thing works like shit, aside from people not even putting phone numbers on the boxes. So if you don’t know your tracking ID you can’t inquire for mail in question.
Those complications are the result of Russian mentality - parcels and other valuabilities are getting stolen not only by the neighbors but even by the couriers and postal workers themselves. Parcel are often given to the wrong people by mistake, too (of course they gladly accept them and don’t return anything). The situation where you can show up at the office and be told that your parcel has already been received is real and has happened already to almost everyone for at least once.

But that aside, the normal routine with slips used to work well. The quality of postal services dropped significantly in the last two years or so, every change they make nowadays is a total disaster, those cancellations of slips and tracking demands are just one example.

Just why is it that every goddamn year there is always someone who doesn’t ship with tracking and gets in trouble for that. Ffs when will it finally become obligatory to ship all the gifts with tracking.

9886 here, I stupidly marked on my calendar that grinch check was the 15th vs the 10th- and apologies to all my (4) card and my (1) gift match; 1-2 items may be mixed in the wrong received way. My deepest apologies, my mother has been in the hospital so I had hubby put it all in a box and unfortunately they all got mixed. I tried my best from memory to keep everything together as best as possible. Onto the thanking- this was my first year doing ss cgl and I am beyond happy I did. It was so nice to make all of my card and gift matches presents catered to their interests!

In this collage I have (3) of my card matches [the other will be uploaded with gift match pic]— 1. 2952, I simply adore the Rilakkuma pancake memopad!! I’ve already used some of them, they are extremely cute and its amazing how you stayed on point with pancake theme as I love them!! The floral tea smells nice and now that things have calmed down a bit I’m actually going to use both of them soon with my mom (she also is a big tea fan!) she said she was excited to try them! Also the moose card is great- he’s lovely as the little santa is kind of a creepy cute hehe. Thanknyou so much for all the love and small gifts, I really am enjoying them/like them a lot!

Hello again, gift sender here. This is really disappointing to read about your postal service, and I feel terrible that this is what you have to deal with. Thank you for your effort so far. I had the assistance of a Russian speaker today, and we spent about an hour calling around to various postal services. Thankfully, we did finally find the postal office phone number that is the designated one for packages for your address. When we called, there was a busy signal, so we’re going to try later in the day.
I promise to you that I’m going to do my best to get it dealt with, and so far thankfully most people have been receptive once you tell them you’re calling from overseas. If for any reason the package cannot be delivered, I insist on sending you at least something to replace it.


Just for people comparing shipping rates: I just checked again on my postal service website, $148.56 USD to ship tracked to Russia from my country for the weight and size of the original package...
