Lolita is a middle-class hobby, there just aren't that many lolitas in this class with the kind of money to throw down $300 on an MTO and then turn around and sell it for $100 after "everybody has it now"-- they're all going to want to wear it once or twice first before letting you have it for half price, which means it usually takes a couple of years for the price to dip back down below retail. So now all those girls who were hoping a deluge of "cheap polyester" HC are going to hit the market will simply have to swallow the higher prices if they want it now now now, or wait another few years if they want it for cheap.

Similar happened with Holy Lantern, if you look up the archives when the very first re-release MTO started going out, it was a pretty entertaining shitshow.

AP has a lot of japan only releases, so sometimes I use a shopping service only to find out later that AP US will release it too. But also AP US sometimes has low inventory of special releases so I’ll also occasionally order from a shopping service I f I want to be 100% sure of getting it. Baby and AP USA both mark up the prices (but not as bad as AP Paris) so it’s generally only an extra $10-20. Plus AP US always charges for priority mail and it’s practically the same cost as the cheap shipping options from Japan. Also, I just feel like lolita as a whole is "the early bird gets the worm". I just received my HC set, and wow the polyester they used it is way better than their other releases. And Muuh did a solid job with packaging. Customs tend to beat the living shit out of my packages and it would show but the box was still in good shape and all the items were pristine.

The skin around my fingernails is very rough (even with lotion applied everyday, and I groom my nails often). Every other AP polyester dress I own is scratched to hell and back so to finally have an AP dress that doesn't get ruined when I handle it is honestly making me cry happy tears. I’ve had this happen to me and my LM/Paypal email isn’t remotely close to the email attached to my Instagram account, and usernames aren’t close either.

So, life happened over the last 6ish months and I've been super-busy. I'll be releasing these pretty soon (within a few weeks) since con season is starting up again and I have a few shows I'm vending at! I'll post an update in whatever current general thread, and I still have the email list.

I'm in the process of setting up a new web shop. So once that's ready to go and tested, they'll be up.
