Angele Beesley-Mackenzie (on the right) and me follow each other for a while now because we both love lolita and steampunk and organise steampunk events for our comms. Naturally we chose steampunk lolita as a theme <3 although we kept it low-key.

this is actually a concept I was playing around with a couple... units of time ago at the beginning of social distancing but didn't post. I wanted to see if I could get denim and lace playing off each other and I'm not totally satisfied but I think it's aimed in the right direction.

I failed to get a picture of my tights but they've got a floral lace pattern. I think I need a lace choker and I'll probably sub the blouse out for one with big lace hime sleeves.

Wow, okay first time posting twice in a day lol. Since I did my silly, mismatched coord from earlier, I thought I would share my coord from today's prompt: OTT! This is currently the most OTT coord I can muster, I think, in hime style! I originally wanted to do something more sweet but was feeling......historical?

Note: I apologize that my skirt is so overstuffed haha; turns out the only lolita hoopskirt I have was too wide and not adjustable, and black. So between wanting a bigger skirt, layering my usual petti and a smaller cheapo one (for more volume at the hips), and trying to hike it up so it didn't show.....this was the result. I think I achieved Table Kei. I currently have a slightly shorter, adjustable hoop skirt in white on the way as a result. xD Concrit welcome, just not on the overstuffed skirt lol~

Because unlike most amazon itas, the skirt is perfectly filled out by the petticoat and the bodice is of a decent fit. Not great, but decent. If it were made of nicer materials, the lace on the bodice was ruffled and layered, and the skirt was not so wrinkled, it could pass as an older AP dress.
