I made an observation on this after a shower thought hit me one time:
You almost never see classic/gothic/whatever other genre itas, only sweet itas.

This is mostly due to the fact that itas are usually complete newbies to the genre whose perception is based off bright pastel colours and lacy frilled dresses they see from Anime or Weeb culture. Thus, that's the only genre and style of dress they know of.

Notes:
In the past I have worn this JSK with a sheer striped black blouse (Fantasia Striped Chiffon Blouse), but I wanted to try lightening the coord overall with this Pumpkin Cat blouse. The base color felt close-ish to the lavender on the print, and the blouse has these metallic peachy details that reminded me of the peachy pink color on the print. I'm still on the fence overall regarding it.

I wanted to bring the cream color from the roses elsewhere in the outfit, but I'm not sure how I feel about the bow I added to the blouse since it covers the bow on the JSK.

I'd like to incorporate more of the teal blue elsewhere, but I've never found anything remotely close to this specific shade. :/

I could probably use tights / socks recommendations.

-get some better lolita shoes that are not standard flats, some that have straps across (like mary janes) or a t strap type
(Check out Bodyline for cheap but decent shoes)
-get some light chiffon/thin blouses for hot seasons, you can look on lacemarket as some pop up but also in fb groups

Milky Planet is one of my oldest and most cherished dresses - it turns 10 this year! It has a couple of age spots, but still has most of its glitter. This is by far the dress I spent the longest searching for, and I still love it 5 years after I finally found it!
