My Japanese isn't good enough to tell but I think this MTO will be cotton? How do gulls feel about this? Happy the material may be better quality or sad that it might run more given that it's a berry print?

Any anons here who have recently ordered stuff from AP Paris? How long did the item take to arrive? I bought one necklace and they apparently shipped it as a letter, and the last tracking update was on June 17th. How would I even go on about this if it never shows up? They did mention in the email they sent with the tracking number that mailing stuff can take longer than usual but I'm just a really paranoid person lmao

>> No.10436723

I ordered wristcuffs that according to tracking haven't arrived, way back on the day of the wristcuffs bloodbath at AP USA.

>> No.10436732 [DELETED]

>>10436720
I have ordered from them a ton during quarantine, it takes a bit over a week but I've always had packages, not letters. It will drop off the face of the earth tracking-wise and then suddenly be in New York, don't worry.

>> No.10436734

>>10436732

I've had things from other places in Europe where tracking says nothing but it's actually already been delivered but doesn't update until later. I wonder if it's USPS or the other countries' post services that causes this.

There's no mention anywhere on fabric or sizing on the website, who knows when we'll find out

Also kek at all the people rushing to Lace market to sell their strawberry dresses, do these people not realize that this mto is being done by raffle so they're not promised a slot, and that the dresses are being sent out in February 2021

Did anyone manage to get the Ice Cream Necklace directly from AP? I'm trash and I feel so broken-hearted because I wasn't able to get the pink colorway. I'm still thankful my SS got the pink ring, but I'm so stressed out already over trying to get the necklace from AP USA, whenever that will be.

I really hope AP does another production round of the jewelry. I'm beating the topic to death, but I wanted to see if others had any luck, or if the majority of us were just fucked from the beginning.

>> No.10436754

>>10436750

I didn't go for the necklace cause those never last in bloodbaths and I hate neck jewelry; I'm just hoping AP USA gets their usual 3 of each item (I know it's probably more than that but it feels like 3 lol) and going to shoot for literally just the ring while everyone else possibly fights over main pieces and bunny ear headbows.

>> No.10436756

Nah I just think that people are going to come out whiteknighting AP poly super hard and derail the thread with the same old debate if someone posts so aggressively/rudely about it in that way and I'd rather keep the general either helpful/useful or at least interesting rather than stupid fights.

>> No.10436763

>>10436754
It's interesting to me that you don't like neck jewelry because usually those are the only pieces people want. But that's probably lucky for you!

I think you have a pretty good chance at getting the ring, while everyone else (including myself) claws at each other to get the necklaces. I've been having such bad luck in the past few months getting anything. I just want this win.

>> No.10436767

>>10436750
>I'm beating the topic to death
You really are. I'm tired of reading about you crying over not getting the latest pair of bunny ears or plastic jewelry from AP. Every single thread it's the same thing.

>> No.10436769

>>10436767
Nayrt but it's a ton of people missing out every release and often different people anon; every thread whether people get stuff or not or are happy or not they usually ask who else got stuff to compare shipping times and communication from AP for practical reasons too.

>> No.10436771

>>10436767
As a sweetfag who generally doesn’t like AP, seconded. Every fucking thread lately is whining about AP’s release habits. Make a separate thread, y’all. This is clearly a deep enough topic for one and its drowning out all the other conversations

I think I dislike it do much because I have a large bust for lolita and instead of laying neatly it sort of almost sits horizontally/rests on my chest. Everyone always talks about bust measurements in relation to blouses and main pieces but I can fit those fine and my biggest issue is necklaces sitting poorly lol

>> No.10436778

>>10436769
If only we were on a forum with the ability to make brand specific threads for times like these

>> No.10436779

>>10436771

I agree that a separate thread would be good. Regardless of which side you're on the threads getting derailed for that kind of conversation eventually gets tiring. Comparing shipping info and stuff in the general is common/normal though.

>> No.10436781

>>10436778

Like a "who got the last release or won in the MTO lottery/did your order ship yet" thread? It seems weirdly specific and people would want to make one for every thread or could feel redundant to the mail or stupid questions threads maybe?

Not a bad idea though if people are really that bothered by that basic sort of discussion in the general.

>> No.10436782

>>10436779
It’s not even a huge issue if releases are discussed, but long in depth arguments about one specific brand that span 3-4 threads is absurd. I know that for some people AP is lolita and vice versa, but that’s not true for a lot of us

>> No.10436783

>>10436779
How is talking about a large AP release "derailing:" the general thread? Just because some people aren't interested in the conversation doesn't mean it's suddenly off-topic.

>> No.10436784

*would want to make a new thread for every release, not every thread sorry

>> No.10436785

>>10436781
No, just make an AP thread you numbnut. All the other brandwhores do it

>> No.10436788

>>10436783

I don't personally find it a problem when it's just people expressing how they feel about items or talking about what they did and didn't get; but I think the convo then tends to devolve into AP needing or not needing to chance stock or business practices, whether or not it's okay to buy release items you missed from scalpers, etc. And the discussion about APs business choices or how they could improve or change or if they even should or need to could make up its own thread. That's probably more of what people are bothered by.

>> No.10436789

>>10436785

Lately there haven't been as many though and people usually discuss all releases in the general regardless of brand or substyle. People just tend to argue or complain or get the most hype about sweet stuff it seems.

>> No.10436790

>>10436788
Yes, this is exactly the issue. Especially because if you try to involve other brands it goes nowhere. It’s clearly not a general lolita discussion, it’s an AP specific one

>> No.10436792

>>10436769
In the last few threads it's always been the same two or three people who are extremely dramatic about it saying they're ~literally crying~ or they're ~absolutely heartbroken~ over not getting the latest release. They will jerk each other off for being overly invested in these accessories saying and lash out at anyone who says they're being annoying and immature.

>> No.10436796

>>10436792

It's probably more than two or three but definitely the people arguing on either side are a small handful compared to everyone else.

>> No.10436806

>>10436790

Tbh this is why I forever prefer other sweet brands when buying new. Being an Apfag is borderline moral and political now with the "ethics" of buying from scalpers, people talking about buying less items they want just to let other people have some, etc.

I just want cute shit and to be able to buy it stress free without forwarding or SS and the material be decent. With AP everything seems like it's anxiety inducing or going to incite a thread long debate. At least from the outside looking it it makes it look that way.

Not just for aatp but for lolita of all brands - do you think we've reached a design saturation point, where designers throw parts of different dresses together and hope for the best? Do you feel like you're not really seeing anything new anymore?

Those girls aren't sexual predators getting off to you finding the stains they left out, they are just liars/possibly scammers.

Sissies would probably jizz on your Sugary Carnival inner petti and send it express at no extra charge to make sure it hasn't had time to dry before you try on the dress. (I wash my secondhand items before wearing anyway but some people do try ons before washing it thoroughly)

God dammit why couldn't it have been one of the cute floral prints? Or literally any of their things but Wa?

I'm so grateful for Meta's forgiving sizing and ease of ordering and recent lack of putting out monstrous or weird designs but I will never like wa and I feel like it would be the hardest to do plus sized because kimono and yukata are predicated on the idea that you are slim and straight up and down (when I was thin but curvy I looked fat in kimono because of the pillow padding and stomach stiffened they have to add for the layers to lie flat and straight on you).

I'm sure other people will be happy though and the design and colorway aren't ugly or anything.

Still I love Meta and like...the upper end of those sizes are huge, which is pretty kind of them to do (I think the max bust is 145 cm and the max waist is 130 on the Plus-Plus size). It's even bigger than MTO HC (and looks nicer imo) So now bigger people have another option available.

I'm an AP brandwhore and this has been true for the past couple years at least. Every year we get the same themes - a strawberry print, a cherry print, a mermaid print, a girly/room print, a retro print ala fantasic dolly/Cinema doll, a space/horoscope print, etc. Usually they get less aesthetically pleasing with each iteration. Lately they'll try and get creative and mash two of the themes together with lackluster results.

I think I'm in the minority where I like their simple 'mature' stuff though, especially when it has a retro twist (see the falling heart series currently on sale). So I end up getting a dress new on occasion.

They're really not that far off, you could practically lift all the styling from an AP outfit and apply it to a Baby/Meta outfit with very little modifications. Probably the biggest difference imo is that Baby dresses are slightly less poofy so it's a little harder to activate full OTT, but you can certainly make up for it with Usakumya or whatever.

Thanks anon! Here is a throwaway email if you wanna discuss how much of a fee you'd want to charge or anything. Right now I just really want this one sax headbow that doesn't ship outside of Germany or EU and this super cute dress from an Aussie seller (anyone reading this in Australia willing to do something similar, please email me!) That said they won't post outside of Australia or NZ possibly.

I'm totally willing to pay international shipping but maybe it is too much of a hassle for people or international postage costs are seriously affected by exchange rates or COVID right now? I remember discussion in the stupid questions thread a while ago about shipping to the US or not and a lot of international gulls seemed to have had trouble with American buyers being entitled or impatient I guess.

Nice! I actually own the BTSSB dress and have just been cording it really simply with a chocolate brown and pink cardigan and pink otks and very plain brown shoes and headbow. I guess I need to sort of think outside the box and style stuff a little more flashy or over the top than Baby typically does on their models. I think if I can buy the matching headbow and add a Kumya and some bear ears to match the brown things it'll take it to the next level a bit!

I'm actually convinced they do it deliberately to maintain a distinct brand identity that looks different from AP.

Regardless, makes dressing up more fun when you can think of interesting things to do with a dress other than style it the way the brand styles it on their models.

By the way a heads up to anyone who wants this BTSSB print; the JSK and headbow are on fril right now for only ¥6000 or ¥8000, possibly with other stuff. It's for some reason cheap as he'll and such a cute print. I bought mine from a friend for like double that so still under $200 but it's really a steal if you're interested in it. It's called Chocolate Fascinate Fairytale I'm pretty sure.

>> No.10438463

>>10438456

Yeah I think you're right as far as styling. Even BTSSBs non old school pieces are always styled very simply and toned down in comparison to AP. Their headbows, even the head eating ones have a more tame and flat look if you want them to and the skirts use less fabric/have less poor and look better with a-line pettis in comparison to AP pieces. I have altered dresses for comm members before and when deconstructing and reconstructing them the differences in the way they are put together that lean towards each brand's aesthetic is striking. BTSSB also uses torchon lace on so many more of their non old school sweet pieces than AP does since they use tulle most of the time. And BTSSB prints have a different aesthetic quality about them than AP. Using cotton more often than not also separates them from AP much more lately as well as Meta since they use blends fairly commobly on new stuff too I think.

You have to specifically tell buyee to remove excess packaging. Before shipping was stopped they charged me $75 shipping for a few dresses and I couldn’t figure out why

Then I got the package. They likely just put every single box that each dress came to them in, into ANOTHER huge box the size of a small child. I was baffled. Now I have to specifically contact them beforehand and tell them to remove the and discard boxes my items come in.

I have never experience anything like that before with any other shopping service.
