I don't know what country you're in but the job market for college grads is terrible because most companies not only want you to have a degree, but 2+ years experience in the position you are trying to apply for because they're not willing to train new hires. Lower end jobs however, do so even after gaining a degree most have to still work a job they didn't study for and try to social climb into an unpaid internship before they can actually start doing what they want to do. And I have a good-paying job, thanks. I may not make six figures, but I have a comfortably middle-class job as a high school english teacher that pays more than either of the jobs my old siblings have (despite the fact that my sister has a degree in accounting) and by the time I'm 26 I'll be a first-time homeowner. I also have the opportunity to get the school to fund my master's so I can become a college professor, move up into administration, or teach AP classes, all of which will be a nice payraise.
