How do you gulls organize your wardrobe and what tools do you use?

Mentioned previously;
>Airtable
>Local harddrive in folders
>Google Docs in folders
>My Closet feature on Lolibrary

Online tools for creating collages or outfit ideas:

https://www.befunky.com/create/collage/
>snapped to a grid
>you can add background colors or images
https://www.photocollage.com/
>25 image limit
>free movement of images
>shape frame ability as well as hiding/unhiding images on the right toolbar as you move things around

Add more ideas or discuss pros/cons of different platforms. Feel free to also post items you are searching for name/stock photos to keep the thread moving, etc!

This is what I'm currently doing to sort items on my computer but there are pros/cons. The main folder has core items like OP/JSK/skirt/coats and there are subfolders for smaller items.

The file name is usually color/theme_brand_name_cut_colorway_year
but I have been lazy at time and just copied the part of the lolibrary link so it shows as a dash instead of an underscore.

Also not shown
>folder for items pending alterations
>folder for 'Other Images' showing the non front facing stock photos or print details
>folder for 'Purchase Tracking' where I screenshot the auction or page at the time of purchase showing price and origin

I would use the my closet feature on Lolibrary if it was more complete, but it’s missing several of the pieces I have. I use a Facebook album that’s visible to my friends so they can see what I have if anyone wants to twin, but not open to randos since I don’t want to be harassed into selling.

I store photos in folders locally on my smartphone. The Lolibrary menu button stopped working for me, so I can't navigate to My Closet anymore.

I have a Pinterest folder with sections for each category of clothing.

I wish Polyvore's collage thing was still around, you could edit out the backgrounds of photos and layer each item like an actual outfit. It was awesome.

>> No.10483922

copying and pasting what I put in the other thread:
>I just use google drive, with different folders for blouses, main pieces, legwear, etc. Because drive files things by alphabetical order and I want things sorted by color, I put a "color code" at the beginning of each file name. A is white, B is offwhite/ivory, Z is black, etc etc etc
>I also add the brand, the name, and what I got it for to the file name
I should mention that the reason why I use this over lolibrary and other methods is because a lot of my wardrobe is vintage and handmade, so some of my stuff is not on lolibrary

What annoys me about pinterest is that it is so difficult to move items around on a long list or keep them sorted by color without making a section within the board

Damn, this is making me miss Polyvore more and more. None of these answers even come close to the glory it once was.

I've used Stylebook in the past and liked it. It was good for syncing my wardrobe with my phone and iPad, though I'm currently using Homyfad's Wardrobe Manager on my desktop. It's comfy and I like it's search and tags. It's otherwise pretty basic and without all the extra features of Stylebook, but I like that about it. I didn't use a lot of the Stylebook features like the calendar or in-app shopping.

>> No.10483987

Do you prefer using stock pictures or taking your own photos? Do you edit out the background?

>> No.10484003

I don’t do anything fancy but I use google drive for my wardrobe. I have files for each category and then organize by brand within the category. I also included a detailed spreadsheet that has all of my dresses organized by year, what matching items I have vs came with the release, what I paid, and how much it last sold for (updated every 2 months or when I’m looking to sell). I’ve been debating adding where I buy them since I love seeing patterns in data, but I can’t remember a lot of them anymore.
I used to have a public album but I was getting too many unsolicited questions about selling

>>10483987
i have both but I use the stock photo version more. the rl version is less organized and only for remembering how an item fit me or how it looked with my skin/hair tone.

I wish I had the guts to post my Cher clueless outfit on my jfashion (mostly egl) account, but I feel like people would be annoyed/unfollow

make a 2nd acc or post it to stories?

>> No.10484018

idk it’s super fucking cute though so I feel like it deserves better than stories, but also a second account would just be dead let’s be honest, who’s gonna follow it? I’m not a cosplayer really so it’s not like I’m gonna bother building up a cosplay account

maybe post a sneak peak with a poll to stories asking if they want to see the whole thing Y/N and gauge interest that way? they'll probably say yes either way, but you can see that if hardly anybody responded then they're probably just being polite and declining to respond instead of saying no.

I think it’s safe to say lolitas like fashion and pop culture. As long as it’s not happening often and suddenly your egl account becomes a normie one, I don’t see a problem

For everyone here who misses polyvore, there is fashmates. It's honestly pretty much the same thing.

As for myself, I have just been using the lolibray wishlist feature and paint.net to organise stuff/create new outfits. I've given up on having a huge lolita wardrobe, I see it as pointless because I will struggle with space and I mainly wear pyjamas anyways.

Stock photos, I keep the backgrounds. I'm a spreadsheet person though so the photo is secondary to the other information (original and purchase price, year released, etc)

polyvore was useless as shit for lolita and most jfashion. literally any photo editing or wardobe management app a la stylebook got you the same or better results

>> No.10484273

I have a private Discord sever that is literally only me, where I separate everything into various text channels. All my already owned stuff goes into it's own category with pictures, along with a wishlist channel and various channels of Taobao finds/shops that I like or have found something I want to purchase from with links. It's extremely helpful.

I think I'd use the calendar feature on Stylebook. Thanks for sharing! Did it have a lot of ads? And I'm guessing it doesnt have a tagging feature like Homyfad? I can see that Stylebook does recognize colors which is nice but tags for lolita themes would be fun too.

What features about poupee girl did you like? I'm honestly looking for an online or more social wardrobe setting because I love looking through people's wardrobes. I never got into poupee girl myself but I would browse impressive wardrobes for fun

>>10484007
details?

If you are the same lolita who posts a lot of oldschool outfits with the yellow plaid items then you should definitely post it. I feel like youre followers would enjoy something like that.

If thats not you then post it anyway! Lolita accounts who post other fashion inspiration occassionally stand out more to me than the only lolita all the time accounts.

Right now I'm trying to turn my blogspot into a cache for all the outfits I have done organized by main pieces and brand. When I get around to my actual wardrobe I will likely have a picture for the hyperlink. It is a gigantic project but I think I'll be happier once it is done.

here ya go!

the bookmarks and accessories all have links + pictures to various items i'm interested in. the closet is all items i already own, with pictures and names. right now my accessories channel just has things 'tagged' (i.e 'rings' 'necklaces' 'gloves') so that i can just search the channel for those specific items. if it gets bigger, i might split it into all separate channels similar to my accessories bookmarks, but for now this is fine.

I use Google photos. All main pieces are placed in an album that I can organize in whatever order I want. I tend to move things around by color and keep the items I haven't received yet at the bottom/end. I add lolibrary or item info in the photo description.
Separate albums for accessories/shoes/headdresses.

Then I just share the link to my album with my friends and they can watch it if they want.
There's a collage feature that works okay for picking out coordinates as well.

Stylebook doesn't have ads, if I recall correctly. It costs money, so I assume it doesn't. It comes with predefined tag categories like color, size, price, etc. that you can fill in, but it doesn't give you the option to make your own tags. There is, however, a little description box and all text you put in there is searchable, so I used that as a sort of makeshift tagging system.
