Oddly enough I don't think this is so bad. It looks jarring now because the cardigan is folded up and laid to one side of everything else, but you should remember that when it's worn, the cardigan will actually be a huge colour block on the top half of the girl -- assuming the girl is smol and skinny, since this is AP japan we're talking about, it'll cover up nearly everything on top, plus unlike other stuff on this thread the blue seems like a perfect match to the blue in the print.

If anything, I think it needs some black hairties or barettes. So when the girl enters a heated shop and wants to take her cardigan off, she'll also take off her beret, and her coord changes from navyxblackxpink to blackxpink. At least the idea of colour-changing your coord with layers you can take off is interesting.
