Separate gender from sex doesn't exist in every language/culture tho. Some cultures don't tie social identity to gender that directly. As in, what you fill in as sex on form and your pronouns is based on if you're born with a dick or a vagina (and in the case of trans people, based on what they transitioned into), but who you are as a person is just not related... Why do you say "gender" when what you mean is sex? "Gender" is socially constructed and therefore not real, unlike sex, which is real and measurable. How a newborn's sex is indicated is by, obviously, looking at their physical sex characteristics and, if there are abnormalities, running tests to determine what chromosomal combination they have and whether or not they have an intersex condition.

I'm saying the language didn't have the issue, because the issue didn't exist. Gender as a social construct didn't exist, and therefore didn't need to be part of the language. Not the other way around.

Only because people from a foreign country keep complaining about the issue needing to be solved and people having to change their speech and such to resolve it, suddenly words got added to create the issue just so it can be solved again. And now people are continuously fighting if it's even useful or stupid, and what neutral pronouns should be because there could be multiple options for which an argument can be made.
