good riddance, this is the rapiest con I’ve ever been to. Know at least three people who were assaulted by guests/bands there. Hope it never comes back.

The camping con idea makes me laugh. Can you imagine how insufferable the average magfest attendee would be on a camping trip.

I think one of the incidents was, but nothing really came of it. Two of the rapist bands were "headliners" and super popular, and both went after underage girls who were too scared to speak up. They still booked the bands the next year, so I stopped going. I'm sure there's dozens more assaults that have gone unreported over the years. The alcohol/drug use all over the hotel was out of control the two years I went and I'm a fairly seasoned con partier. It was a horrible mix of drunk unsupervised teenager girls, drunk "nerd rock stars", and drunk neckbeard gamers.

Around MAGStock 6, locals started coming to the event without paying and causing all kinds of trouble, plus campground residents started doing stuff to make MAG look bad, like pooping in the campground showers. Anyone can look at the Gaylord calendar of room availability and clearly see where MAG has it's rooms blocked off, and where Katsucon has their rooms blocked off. It's been clear as day for the past 4 years what MAG's dates are before they are officially announced. Either announce the dates, or has the fundraising budget from last year already been depleted to the point MAG can't afford Super? Or is MAG going to say next the dates on the Gaylord's calendar are for CPAC?
