Honestly, I'd tell the lower offer/bid that someone else also bid/made an offer, and that they are welcome to counter-offer. Then give then the link to the other listing as proof. It's not fair to either party that you were double-listing the item.

Do you actually get nimble with a thimble?

I've started hand stitching way more and it's hurting my middle finger. I do all of the fine maneuvering with the thumb and index, so I guess I could sacrifice some nimbleness on my middle finger but... I've always felt that thimbles mess up my flow when stitching. I would imagine you'll eventually learn to get comfortable with it as well. In terms of what type of thimble, again from the historical costumers, I've seen and heard many of them prefer leather ones over metal thimbles. nta but i find some of her music relatable because the lyrics are often based on her abusive relationships and family, but the ageplay esque aspect of some of her stuff makes me not really feel into it. K-12 film aesthetic was less babyish which was nice. dollhouse in particular was the song i found of hers first and really stuck with me as a teen because i had a family with abusive parents who just told us to ignore things and never tell people outside of the immediate household about it, even though everyone we knew thought we were all nice and happy despite all us kids being legit traumatized, abused, and neglected.

i hope she matures beyond some of her pettier 'i will steal your man' stuff like pacify her and that baby aesthetic in general, which it seems like she is trying to. i can appreciate the good parts of her music that i relate to and still hate that other part and don't really go around talking about liking any of her stuff, especially given the sexual assault/rape allegations (did those ever go anywhere or get confirmed or debunked or is it all still hearsay?)

yeah i don't like that she did that and it's really annoying/wrong but that doesn't mean some people don't like certain aspects of her music

lolita was inspired to a degree by vintage clothing tho and kids just wore mini versions of adult clothes back in the day so vintage kids clothes isn't far off in a technical sense but does have connotations that are bad and we would all she rather not say those things.

Is there a reason people on Lacemarket rarely include photos of them wearing the garment in their listings? It’s almost always a flat or mannequin pic. Except nothing in that pic is lolita. When I said wider neck, I meant wider neck in lolita. Lolita has blouse collars that are close to the neck with flaps. That’s exactly what you don’t want with halter necks. You don’t want bulk under the halter straps, so you have to make sure the collar detailing is under the straps. I've been looking for a new hobby, as of late. And i've stumbled upon Cosplaying. I have a few questions about it, and sorry if i get political (i spend maybe 8-10 hours a day on /pol/)
1)Are there any racial things i should look out for? Racially i am a brown hispanic man, and i see mostly white people, so is the community for whites or are all races welcome? (sorry for my obsession about race)
2)Is Cosplay a good hobby for the socially ackward? i am very shy and introverted and i'm trying to get out of my bubble by not settling for a hobby like gaming because they're all full of socially ackward men. Also i'm trying to even potentially meet some women but who knows.
3)What kinds of costs are involved? As i am a bit poor and don't make alot of money, what kind of budget should i set for my "Cosplay" or whatever.
Sorry if these are retarded questions, and thank you for answering them. also pic unrelated

The race questions are stupid so I'm glossing them over entirely. Cosplay is a money spending hobby -- there's no way around that. A costume isn't just the outfit, but it's also the full ensemble of wig, shoes, undergarments, tools, materials, prop, accessories, makeup, and etc. It is possible to spend as little as possible, but you will always be sacrificing one of the three in the pyramid: money, time, or effort. Although cosplay has become more accessible, it has a somewhat steep entry point regardless of whether you're making or buying your costume. I'd suggest a different hobby -- not just because of your funds (though it definitely salts the wound), but also because it's not going to solve your problem of obsessing less over politics. You need to reduce your screen time and fill it with a hobby that is both social and encourages you to work on yourself. Something like reading books / attending writing workshops / art.

Buy a big plastic tub to wash in. Fill it in the sink/tub, wash. Get a proper drying rack; I got a huge one for $20 on Amazon. My skirts/blouses/socks dry within a few hours, but I dry them in the livingroom. Dresses take a little longer but I do them at night and they're dry in the am. Even if it doesn't fit in your bathroom, put it on your side of the room (if you have a roommate).

As for what to bring, 1 set of everything else is not enough unless you plan to hand wash daily or wear gross clothes. College washing/drying machines cost money and sometimes they're full so you have to wait. I would bring enough lounge and pajamas for a week, and however many workout clothes you'll need for the week. For example, if you work out 3x a week, bring 3 sets. As for lolita clothes, 2 weeks sounds good so you can wear 1 week's while you're washing another. You could probably get away with less main pieces if you're cramped for room. It's suited for someone with 27-28" bust (even less if they wear a padded bra). An inch of ease in a non-knit garment would normally be considered super close-fitting. Zero ease means you're straining the seams with every breath and good luck raising your arms. If your bust is 32" before a bra, you're better off looking for something that is at least 33-34" in the bust if it has no stretch.

Sorry for the late reply, but instead of comparing your body measurements to flat measurements measure a garment you’re comfortable in flat and compare the two. If you can find a garment made of a similar material to measure because that’s even more accurate. Flat measurements are a bit different than worn measurements and that’s the easiest way to figure out if you can wear it if flat measurements are all you have.

Let the seller know and include photo evidence. Ask for a partial refund since you didn't get what you paid for but, like you've said, it's salvageable and not worth an outright return for. If the seller doesn't give you a refund and brushes you off, then I'd recommend leaving a review noting the dishonesty and/or lack of willingness to work with the buyer to resolve an issue.
Last resort would be to file a chargeback through PayPal or similar if that's how you paid since that service would technically refund you in full if the buyer does not receive what they expected, but it would be a rude awakening.

1. Your obsession with race stems not from /pol/, but from incongruities in your very real life outside the internet bleeding into your subconscious.

2. Cosplay is a good way to give start to a conversation if you aren't a social butterfly. If your costume looks good, people will be drawn to talk to you. However, you don't have to cosplay to enjoy a con, and even just going to a convention will allow you to meet people, both male and female, who share the same interests. Cosplay can just be an icebreaker is all.

3. Cosplay is not a cheap hobby at all. It's extremely expensive especially starting out when you can expect a lot of trial and error. If you still insist on making ends meet, consider paying someone else to make costumes instead of risking spending more messing up materials yourself.

0- Get off /pol/, use filters and block the address if you have to. Ask /g/ in their question threads if you can't figure it on your own, that's not healthy.

1- Not really, people discuss Asian vs Western cosplay and cultural shifts, but cosplay comes in all races.
Black people or characters sometimes tiptoe the blackface issue, only Americans seem to make a fuss of heavy makeup that changes skin tone.

2- Not really. Anything that can be labeled as nerd or fringe comes with their streak of autism. People often ask themselves if they're too old for dressing up, you will be judged by normies. If you're not thick skinned or don't want to cover up, it's better to get into something else.
As for meeting women, for the past years we've had too many sexy outfits, it makes regular cosplayers uncomfortable as people assume woman in costume = has a Patreon/gets raunchy. You can try your luck at the friend thread.

3- Lots of time, money or both. I'd rather choose few outfits and cons over lots of poorly made clothes. Nerd hobbies are too much of a money sink, the consoom meme is strong and not good.
Maybe you should consider outdoor activities, even some sports in your area. You're putting hours like it's a full time job at /pol/, start with that. /po/ is better anyways.

There are some crafting hobbies that involve less skills than copslay, you got the whole internet to look it up. Good luck.

Get into /fit/. Bring up internet addiction next appointment. For every time you browse /pol/, make a set of reps first, sit ups or whatever.

Found a shirred jsk I like but I'm 4-6cm under the minimum bust measurement. Will that fit me too big?
