>>10660171
Its easy to spot bed bug activity. If they are in a mattress or someones clothing (which Idk how common that is) you will be able to see small blood speckles from them feeding. On a mattress its usually on the underside. Plus, if its clothes from storage bed bugs wouldnt survive long without food so its unlikely they would be hiding in stored items.

Honestly seeing those stories I wonder if people are actually just seeing tiny carpet beetles and assuming they are bed bugs. They like eating fabric fibers but are a little bigger then bed bugs. I could see how one could easily get wrapped up in a box and shipped. I used to find them in old carpeted houses.

What do i do?
I sold something on lm that was missing a detachable bow i wasn’t aware that it should have had, and it was shipped overseas. I got the item originally without a bow.
I offered the buyer a partial refund if she’d like to keep the skirt, and haven’t heard back from her yet.
Not sure what else to do. what if she wants a whole refund? If she wanted a whole refund should i honor that?

>> No.10660224

>>10660211
You should be offering a small % of the item if you weren't aware. I think a partial might be a huge leap. Like 10-15% is probably fair. I would take the hit for bad feedback if she wanted a full refund. If you provided photos and she didn't ask for more information about missing items, then that's not on you for not providing that info. At least in reasonable logic with selling online, outside of crazy lolitas on LM

Shipping was almost the cost of the item so not sure if that changes anything? Is it even worth it to be shipping it back and forth like this and it took over a month to arrive.

Maybe this has already been talked about and if so, I apologize for my tard-ism.

But has anyone else noticed Tenshi has an account on LM and they're buying things off of Fril/Mercari and reselling them slightly higher? What caught my attention was this snowflake necklace from Baby I've been eyeing up, it was selling on Fril for 2,700. Tenshi now has it listed as bidding starting at $24. There are other things in their shop too, pieces that were bought cheap on the second hand market and are now being resold at a higher price. It's weird too because I'd been eyeing up this item for a while, and so I knew what the item description says, and it had said that it was worn 1-2 times. Also the "only like if you're going to buy" is fucking rude. That and they're acting like they've worn these items when they're just acting as a scalper.

>>10660664
Also agreed with the other anon, you're being way too extreme. Tenshi has been around and helping out the lolita community for a long long long long time. She is still by far one of the best, although busy, shopping services.

1) You get charged a fee when using a shopping service, so 'scalping' on LM is to make money. Most of the time people try to make back what they spend on lolita on LM. Some of us pay scalper prices for things we like. Bidding at 24$ for a necklace from a Brand is NOT that expensive.

2) She's not buying brand new items and reselling, and you wouldn't have them available to you from the Japanese second hand market if she didn't sell them on LM, so why are you complaining?

3) Some people drop items on her after buying, because she holds them on a credit until she charges them. Some people like me, run that credit up really fucking high. So some people, don't pay. It's not good, but she needs to make her money back.

>”you wouldn’t have that item availible to you on the JP secondhand market if she didn’t make it availible to you”

What? Are you new? You can buy things directly from the JP secondhand market just fine if you use a SS or proxy. Even on Mercari if they’re reigon locked.

She can certainly request you not like an item, but it comes off as incredibly rude. Can she still do it? Sure, but it’s going to be a no from me.

Secondly, my whole issue with Tenshi doing this is not related 100% to the price. What I find to be scummy in this situation is that she didn’t disclose the origins of said item. I will admit I don’t have proof that necklace is the same one, but judging on the time it was purchase, when it appered, the item itself, and the description I’m pretty certain it is. As a seller you are obligated to disclose the history of the item i.e are you the original owner? If not where did it come from? That and passing it off as though she is the first owner is a lie (assuming I am correct). Even if its like you say and someone dropped the item, she should be disclosing that. That is my problem here.

>> No.10660726

I doubt she is lying about the origin. She has no reason as we all know who she is. And even in the necklace scenario the scalping claim is weak; you said it cost ¥2700 and she started bidding at $24; that's literally 56 cents less than the actual price she paid based on current exchange rates. A difference that small is not scalping and listing something bidding for exactly what you paid is common practice these days just in case multiple people want it and want to bid for it. A lot of people get angry when sellers list items as BIN these days because they are upset they didn't have the chance to pay more and win the item. And if no one else wants it, well they can just bid the starting bid and win easy peasy.

None of this is scalper behavior and tons of sellers don't list in much detail about if they are the first or 5th owner. It just seems like one or two anons have a vendetta against Tenshi for no reason.

Cgl calling people scalpers for buying something before they could or selling for a penny more than they want to pay is so ridiculous and desu I'd rather we stay in the era of calling those who hate the sweet boom prices poorfags than go back to saying everyone and their mom is a scalper because someone paid 50 cents more for a cheap secondhand BABY necklace.

Even if she isn't doing that, the obvious alternative is that she bought stuff for a client and they flaked, especially with newfag covidlitas being recommended her a lot for personal SS cause she is well known and people don't wanna recommend less popular personal SS and compete. More broke newbies equal more people flaking when they realize how much shipping and mild SS fees cost. And she seems to upload in waves so she prolly saves a combo of either her own items or flake buyer items she was stuck with over time and then lists them all when she has a moment.

SS is not her main income afaik, so she isn't charging too much or trying to maximize profit, just trying to not literally lose money running things. Obviously I'm biased cause I use her service but I've used other SS too and would defend them as well if the circumstances were similar.

Does anyone have a sheet or some good resources for people getting into Lolita? Or just what to link someone to teach them the fundamentals? I learned all my Lolita stuff in 2012-2013 and most resources are either broken or I can’t think of where exactly I learned stuff back then other than lurking.
I have a friend who’s getting into it but I don’t want to have to explain everything to them and seem like a snob or something but I’m worried about them buying sketch wish-quality stuff or just making general ita decisions and wasting money

Slightly different question but since it's continuation of "stupid question thread", I hope I post it in right place.

Is it normal for cosplayers from cons to NOT reply to emails with photos and/or links to galleries? Because it's yet another cons where I don't get any replies, aside from single cosplayer that Im in contact with since quite some time and she recognize me. And it's not like I bother people at cons - I always ask first of I can take photo and if yes, if they are in hurry and after - if they want to receive them or not (some just prefer link to site, which is totally fine) and in what way.

Im a bit confused.

>> No.10661556

Just make an album on Flickr or something and post the link on pages for the con you were at. It will hurt your feelings less than when people don't reply.

I'm assuming, still, that you're a dude, since you didn't deny it. Maybe make actual photog friends if you want concrit on your pics. Most women aren't going to go out of their way to be nice to some rando who took a pic. A majority of guys at cons are creeps and we always regret talking to you.

>> No.10661565

Except that during the con, I never ran into negative or defensive reaction. Most were nice and friendly. Im aware that amateur cosplayers (and you can tell them apart right away) can be nervous which is why I never press on if I detect that they feel uneasy, for example. No need to assume that Im some predator or just creep. In fact, that's just unfair, since in the end, we both attended con to have fun, not to hurt others in any way.
