Anything with a vintage feeling is nice, but then again the market is oversaturated with printed goods atm, I imagine it would only sell well with interesting cuts (there seems to be a lack of proper fluffy skirts with prints, the art cow stuff everyone sells is boring).

That's really why I'm wondering. I feel like it's really easy to get a lot of prints and end up having to buy a lot more accessories and stuff to match. I agree about art cow stuff. Their chiffon stuff is nice but we need more than just a skater skirt.

I found most reviews saying that it wasn't, with just one complaining about the sheerness. Should be wearing shorts or legwear under a skirt that short anyway.

I wanted to get the patterned sweatpants and hoodie but hoodie was totally sold out so I settles for sweatpants and turtleneck. The jeans were cute but I prefer flare leg ones. I do feel inspired to DIY my own with different artwork though to match other stuff I own

Basically at that point in time you’re going to need stuff custom sized and or that uses *rtscow for manufacturing. Peacockalorum and miss alphabet are your best bet for textured skirts and maybe Diccha if she has leftovers from her summer collection. Fancy surprise, prismatic pastel, ocean in space, lumina love, and other western shops (with the exception of fancy surprise ofc) are going to be pretty much the only ones who carry tops and tights that will fit at that size. Japanese pieces are pretty much a no go unless you can get Milklim sweaters or big LF tops, but even then they’ll be fitted rather than baggy.

I bought most of the set when it dropped minus the pants and while adorable, I hate how surface level the collab was? It just seemed like an afterthought. Knowing Hila and Ethan, I’m assuming they just stumbled across Yurie’s work and said ‘okay kawaii’ and tossed it on some poc models and called it a day. I hated how they didn’t even bother to make them look cute or brought in her plushies. Additionally the quality is a bit wonky as well as the sizing. The stretch crop top shirt was way too small, and everything but the cardigan, pants, and collared t-shirt are made for men, not women and fit way too oversized.

Overall the last time I’m giving my money to Teddy Fresh.

It is advertised as "unisex", which means you don't just order a size S and expect it to fit like a woman's size S. This is a bizarre thing to be upset about. Also her plushies look like garbage most of the time because the hair they use for them looks like troll doll hair.

Bummer to know the quality was poor though.

Nta and I ordered from the restock; I'll offer my own thoughts on quality as well. This is my first time purchasing from them at all as it's the only time something I've liked was in stock when I visited the site. I don't follow their social media or anything so if I wasn't following the artjst I'd never have known about it. I wish I could have gotten the hoodie to match the pants since I'd have gotten more use out of it as someone who wears mistly skirts.

Also I disagree with the weird complaint about them using the "kawaii" look or the models being POC. They're selling a cool collaboration with a Japanese artist who can gain more normie western fans from this and Teddy Fresh uses pastels and bear motifs all the time, so they already had a crowd into cute stuff that would like them. I liked their stuff despite not buying (because of the aforementioned things being sold out before I saw them). And Teddy Fresh is a clothing line first, they probably would have had to go really out of their way to make plushes imo and it wouldn't make much sense even with this artist.

And on the models, lots of brands use models of various colors either because they have a set of regular models they always use who just happen to be whatever skin color or because they want to show how the colors look on different skin tones, kind of like makeup swatches though less neccesary for clothing. Even if there was no "reason" for the models to be multi-racial it just seems weird to complain about the race of the models for no reason? Did you expect them to go seek out only Asian models for the kawaii artist collab drop? That'd be actually weird imo.

Update: the pants are super thick and nice quality on the print, I love them. The elastic in the waist feels strong and like it won't get loose super quickly. The ends of the tie looped through the waist isn't finished at the end though (no chain or aglet), so that's a bummer.

The crop top is nice but the artwork just looks like it was attached using iron on patches which is a huge bummer. I was hoping it'd be printed. Now I'm afraid to wear and wash it in case it peels or cracks. It was only $50 but I still would have wanted a to feel a little more secure about the print job for that price. I feel more disappointed I couldn't get the hoodie now knowing how nice the pants are.

Seeing new fk snaps makes me happy.

I literally saw that from Kami the other day and was sad it was sold out before I even knew it existed. The creators said they're not planning to rerelease either because of their manufacturer. Maybe I'll find it resold one day.
