I think buying from Qutieland or Clobba for DoL would actually be cheaper than just buying from Taobao using an SS... I'm looking at how much I end up spending after PP fees, SS fees, domestic shipping and shipping to me, and the difference doesn't seem that much at all.

I find it helpful to write things down in categories of similar items (blouses, tights, skirts, ect) and limit myself to two items per category or one per colorway.

I also wait three days after writing things down before placing my order. It helps cut down on compulsive buying.

People always talk about the night markets, but whenever I go, everything is horribly overpriced particularly at the Asian boutiques and their selection is usually limited. I know you're supposed to haggle the price down, but really, when it's 5-10x the price, how much can you actually haggle it down? On taobao, I know I'm getting ripped off because the SS will haggle it down even further, but it's better than paying 5x the listed price in the streets.

Then again, I'm in Murrica. Whenever I go to Toronto, everything starts at least 20 bucks, even for cheap looking shit. People in the Southeastern countries probably have it a bit better, hence why they're looking at us in wonder and wondering why we'd pay so much for shit they get for about the same price in the markets.

I hear you. I am getting over my own addiction. These are methods I use to help cope because God knows I have blown gross amounts of money before.

I force myself to write things down on note book paper. Something about the act of physically writing everything in separate lists and calculating amounts makes it more real how much money I am spending. When I add things up in my head it doesn't seem like that much. Writing it helps me go, "shit, I have 10 blouses and $600 wtf?"

I also save the pictures of everything and pull them up all at once side by side. When everything is on the SAME screen it is easier to pick out what you like the least. Using that method I slowly cross things off my list.

It's even worse her in Scandinavia. There are like 5 different shops in every city. (H&M, Gina Tricot etc). In the big cities you might fins something other than plain boring stuff, but then it costs like 100$ for a dress. Taobao is just so much more affordable even with the shipping and custom costs. 30 items for 500$ is quite a deal in my eyes. (In scandinavia, everything is overpriced, you can't get a t-shirt for under 15$ if it's not on sale)

Basically, on taobao, there usually is an option to haggle down the price. Many SS will charge you the named price, but will actually talk with the shop to haggle down the price further so they can get even more profit. Yup, pretty sneaky, but eh, they know they have the leverage here.

Out of curiosity, have you seen any shops with random pack deco on ebay? I haven't been able to find any, and I generally like the random quality of lucky packs in deco, especially as I find a way to use all of it. If I could get that on ebay, I'd definitely buy from there instead of having to buy 10 different things at once.

I get afraid of embarrassing myself but more importantly I get afraid of embarrassing myself and then panicking and being unable to leave the situation without becoming even more embarrassed. I have DoL's Milky Planet in blue and it's ok! The fit is really good but I misjudged the length, that was probably my own fault though, the pin that the bow is on is terrible, the headbow is shit I had to reinforce it with cardboard.
