Sorry I don't have any help to give you, but it's pretty much what this anon said. There are plenty of resources online to help you start sewing, ranging from videos on Youtube to tutorials in general. In this case, Google can be your best friend.
Otherwise, personal experience is the best way to get yourself used to sewing with a new machine. Play around with it, and you'll eventually get the hang of it.

This is a cosplay board, and this thread is a infographic general. Not just things that work for you.
Sometimes a cosplay will have animal characteristics or need fur. That does not make it furry shit. I bet that tutorial would also be great for a fur scarf.
Furries are their own can of worms, but fursuits are not easily made. There are things to be learned from them.
