I'm doing monomi as well and ive got my whole costume ready to go but this was my general though process:

1. CUT and STYLE your wig. I see so many emo monomi's and I dont want to be like them.
2. Avoid using the hoodies that you can buy. They are seriously horrible and aren't all that great (plus some of them make you look sort of fat). If possible, try make something!
3.try not to use ridiculously heavy make up!

What should I do for Tsumiki's skirt pleats? In some references they're clearly heading in one direction, and in some they're heading in the other, and in some they switch directions. I know they're definitely knife pleats, but wtf? Should I do the thing some of the other Dangan Ronpa girls have going on with a center box pleat and opposite-facing knife pleats out from the center for a compromise?

Anyway remember to split your bangs a little on your left, since she does have a parting.

Also youll probably need pink circle lenses and some fake lashes and eyeliner, nothing too extravagant. Contouring-wise you would need very subtle contouring on the nose and since the wig already shapes your face maybe a little along the jawline.

Yeah, I got that detail too, but I have acne on my forehead and my eyebrows are ugly so I covered it up with the wig's bangs. I'll cover that stuff up with makeup when the con comes around, I'll definitely part my bangs then.

I said she made the costume from scratch and made her wig. From what she said she cut in half and sewed, then took the wefts off remailing sides and sewed them in to make it bigger and thicker so it looked more natural.

Does anyone have some suggestions on a good way to go about a human Monobear, besides the standard no kigus, no hoodies, no getting the black and white backwards, and no facepaint bullshit? My brother wants to do Monobear so I want to make sure he doesn't end up in the shittier like most Monobears have.

But i'm not sure, make sure he styles the wig instead of just middle or side parting it. (i dont know what else to say because there are so few/ no existing good monokuma...)

I would personally suggest not over complicating things. Style the wig so its not just a fluffy mess, black and white clothing. ive seen a lot of simple but affective looks consisting of Black jeans black t-shirts, cut one leg shorter on the jeans and put some sort of white and black sock there. Simple sometimes looks better in my opinion.

Of course his hair is ugly. It's comically over-the-top and it's rare to see cosplayers do it well, which is why I like this cosplayer's wig. It's not completely ridiculous and looks decently constructed.
I really don't think they fit Mondo though. They're too scrawny.

hi, my chibi from arda came yesterday and i've finished sewing half the wefts in (about 8 foot extra is in the right pigtail and the other pigtail's gonna have that much fiber in it soon too)

i was going for the sprite length/style/colour,
it comes to just under my boobs and the colour is a fair bit lighter irl, the light in here is pretty bad since it's late and stuff

obviously i haven't cut, layered it or even attempted to style it other than putting it in temporary pigtails for now, do you guys think it looks okay so far..?

I would definitely raise the pigtails on that if at all possible. If I were you I would buy multiple clips in the same color and add more and more hair to your wig. You're going to need a lot more than that!
I don't know much about the actual shaping of her weird ass hair but definitely bring up your tails and add more hair

yeah, i agree with the raising, i just put all the hair in one hairband for now, but since there's so much hair there already it's fell down a lot so i'll probably make two ponytails on top of each other so it'll be raised but the volume will still be there

I think a lot of people often forget or ignore the fact that Junko's pigtails are slightly brownish red at the bottom. It'd be really nice if you included that (I've seen methods where people use alchohol and sharpie to dye wigs). Other than that and the pigtails being a bit low, I think it looks pretty good so far.

I'm not really a big fan of that cosplayer. I was following him for a short time and it seems like his only really good cosplay was his mondo, and he complained a lot too. Honestly not sure how he got in Iron Wig since his mondo wig is his only good styling work

i put it up in three ponytails so it wouldn't droop and yep, i definitely need more wefts but i'm pretty happy with it right now, this way of putting it up made it a little longer too, so that makes me a little more confident with cutting it too.

i know i'll need more wefts but now i'm thinking backcombing might do for now as a quick fix until i can buy some more (but not backcombing the whole thing without brushing down the first layer like some of those birds nest junkos you see) at least until i can get some wefts, anyway.
but then again, with the layering of the wig and the general shape, that could end really badly if i messed it up even just a little
it's just that with the con i'll be wearing this for, i'm not sure i'll be able to order the extra wefts in time for them to arrive.

either way, styling a junko wig is true despair.
she would have wanted it this way.
