I'd prefer this stays drama-free. There are good and bad cosplays of popular and not-as-popular series. Everyone starts from somewhere and likes what they happen to like.

Yeah, I feel like it was more a missed opportunity than anything else. Would've loved to pair up Gerome with Inigo, and female Robin with Say'ri. Also these two, they were so cute. What about you other Awakening players? What pairings did you end up with/would you have liked to see? My favorites are:

Chrom/Robin, Virion/Sully, Gaius/Cordelia, Federick/Tharja, Panne/Lon'qu, Cherche/Gregor, Henry/Lissa.

I was also super-pissed about Sumia's limited support pool - I wanted to pair her up with Vaike so she could trip over all the stuff he was constantly losing.

Ahhh man this thread makes me happy. I love FE designs, especially awakening. They're so perfectly cosplayable, I'm surprised you don't see them more.
I've got like five characters from awakening on my wishlist for when I actually have time and money to make them.

this cosplayer is my favorite tharja. she just has the most perfect look. i saw her at AX last year and she was so amazing.

My FE:A couples were: Female!Avatar/Henry, Chrom/Sumia, Vaike/Miriel, Gregor/Nowi, Libra/Olivia, Gaius/Tharja, Virion/Panne, Ricken/Cherche, Stahl/Maribelle, Fredrick/Lissa, Lon'qu/Sully, Kellam/Cordelia, Inigo/Noire, Gerome/Severa, Male!Morgan/Nah, Brady/Cynthia. Henry is really cute to pair with anyone. So far I've tried Lissa and Nowi.

I'm thinking Henry would be fun to cosplay. Would it be stupid to squint my eyes when I smile / pose for photos? Since Henry's eyes are never seen I would feel strange having my big gaijin eyes in each pic.

It's a shame that the bonus characters in Awakening didn't look anything like they were supposed to. Broke my heart when I recruited Brom and saw how fucking retarded his 3D form looked. I think craft foam armor would probably work, personally. But metallic fabric doesn't look bad. I've seen some do matte yellowish fabric on both her and Henry, and it just looks really bad imo.

The blue/red cape is pretty classic iconic lord. I don't think it's coincidence that near every main lord since recycles the red/blue somehow. Everything else though... yeah, not very recognizable.

I've never seen one, though I've heard people make plans to do her. I seriously admire anyone doing non-Awakening, non-Smash Bros cosplay these days, because the costumes can be so complex.
Recently did a GBA main character and organized a shoot -- only one of the awakening cosplayers I rounded up knew who I was. 3 of them on separate occasions asked if I was an alt-costume tactician.
