Brazil general

Seeing the AF thread I realized we have quite a few brazilians in here so let's talk try having a general thread for our events.

What events are you attending this year?
What's your favorite event?
What do you think of our community?

I'm attending Brasil Game Show, Anime Friends, and Brasil Comic Con. I'm more of an anime person, but I'm really curious about Comic Con.
Also scared of the lines for BGS.

>> No.7494128

Well shit

I've only been to Yamato events. Ressaca friends being my favorite, it had plenty of people but you could actually find a place to sit down unlike af.

I'm also going to Anime friends, BGS and Comic Con experience.
Don't be afraid of BGS's lines, I've been there at the last two editions and the lines are always smooth. I wouldn't recommend wearing elaborate cosplay if you want to enjoy the games, unless you'll join the league of legends cosplay contest.
My first time at BGS I won the contest (there were like... five cosplayers, so it wasn't a big deal, also, I only won because I had those brainwave cat ears on) and last year a Zed won the contest ( he was a really nice guy, he's selling his costume now) and there were many more cosplayers than the first time.

Well anon,as someone who lives in sp and work close to Liberdade, I'm not gonna sugarcoat and say that you won't have a bad time, specially on Liberdade area cause is a central part of city with less english speakers, but there you can find all sort of animu/mango and be in touch with all your weeaboo needs (there you can find some small japanese bookstores, kinokuniya alike). Try to go during the week, cause on weekends is crowded as hell. Also, I hugely recommend going to Paulista street, where you can find Geek bookstore and a few other comic stores, and you won't have huge communication problems in this place, but there is nothing special, if you compare to other countries.

Our biggest con is kinda shitty. I have a friend from France who went to animefriends and couldn't communicate at all. (The average of our con attendees are kinda stupid poorfags, they are the classic hue). So I strongly recommend you go accompanied by a Brazilian friend, to enjoy better your con experience.

I'm not in the comic community, but sometimes I tend to get in some con with friends. In my opinion, Comic cons and Video Game cons are better and people there tends to be more polite.
