The majority of the comm is pretty nice. I don't think anyone has any major beef. The most active city is definately the Phoenix area. I don't think there's much going on in flag staff, and Tucson has two better dressed active Lolita's. everyone else either doesn't actively participate in the community or is ita as fuck. Though I could say the same about Phoenix and Tempe, the more active group is definately the better dressed.

But regardless of how everyone's dressed, for the most part everyone is kind and according and everyone gets along fairly well

My only advice is to watch out for Dominique (everyone calls her Dramanique behind her back, and for good reason). She enjoys starting drama, and spreading rumors. As you can see the comm has some drama, but we usually swallow it for meets. We have a lot of indoor meets especially in summer at places like the ritz, the English rose, and the ice skating rink.

The comm lately has not been as well dressed as it used to, I can count the girls on one hand that can put together a decent coordinate.

Tucson lolitas defend literally everyone on here.

Avoid Kat, Juli (not as active anymore), and any other drama cows that will pounce on you because you're new and don't know any better.

So I don't know who it is that keeps "calling me out" every time Dom gets posted anywhere, but just fyi I was in class til late last night and then came home, went to bed, and woke up sick, so I hadn't even seen this thread, let alone posted in it. The thing is, the majority if not all of her drama stays on her Facebook, and she keeps it out of the community. If she brought any other drama to the community itself, that would be another issue completely.

Don't like her? Fine, delete her. Don't talk to her. She rarely makes it to meet ups anyways because her priorities lay within the cosplay community, not the lolita one. If you don't follow her on Facebook, aside from the occasional post she makes within the community, you wouldn't know she exists.

If her actions outside of the community warrants the ban-hammer, then there are several people who should also be banned for their behavior within the community, and no doubt at LEAST on of them are posting on here.

If you really have an issue with how someone is treating you within the comm, I highly suggest you actually talk to a mod about it. Otherwise, how is anything suppose to get done if no one is aware of an issue existing.

That said, If Dominique is bothering anyone on the comm page, or at a meet up, or is causing a disturbance towards lolita(not counting her behavior on her personal facebook such as going out of her way to harass another member of the community), then i urge you to please step foreward and message any of us mods so we can sort this all out.

I knew Song Ja in passing many years ago due to her dominating the Atomic Comics monthly cosplay contests. I remember her sewing and design being awesome, always able to throw together a nice costume even at the last minute. Kind of strange to see her designs now... Maybe I was too much of a weeb at the time to realize it or she's drastically slipped, but holy shit, a lot of this stuff is terrible. :/

As for why she's popular, I was under the impression that she had a fairly strong foot hold on the AZ con fashion shows. Her booth seemed popular when I passed by it at PCC last year. She also has connections to the local cosplay and Lolita scene dating back at least 10 years. Maybe someone more up to date on the scene could correct me tho.

If you read the thread, it's obviously just one person everyone has an issue with. This person lives in Tuscon (roughly 2 hours away from the Metropolitan Area) and only comes to large meet-ups.

Every community has their issues. Ours is we're getting a large influx of new girls and we have over 200+ members due to it, but there are only 20-25 girls who consistently show for meets. These girls ranged from well-dress to ita, like any other comm.

If you're really going to be this put off by one person, who isn't regularly at meets. Fine. Stay away. Enjoy your frills solely. But don't judge our comm, because we have a common person we dislike.

OP, PCC has a ton of lolitas and there's an ILD meetup, which someone mentioned. Both those events will have a lot of attendees so you can judge for yourself. There are still a small handful of well-dressed girls left.
