I wanted to do this cosplay but am skinnyfat and don't want to shame my parents, but for the huge eyes I was gonna use wire with spandex or something stretched over them. Then like fishing wire attached to the center or on the headband to keep them up. I want to see the huge eyes. I think that the problem with Ragyous is that they don't know how to give a nice structure to the dress.
It's a mermaid tail dress and this looks like a sac of potatoes. It doesn't give her a curvy figure.
The metal band around her waist isn't that huge either, and she needs her top half to have shape.
I think Ragyou cosplays are focusing a little too much on the wig and neglecting the structure of the dress.

One of the biggest problems with Ragyo is that she has such a large chest, but such a tiny waist but it's uncovered so you can't corset it.

Ideally it would be best cosplayed by a tall and broad-shouldered girl. She should put a lot of padding on her hips under the dress to achieve a w/h ratio closer to Ragyo's, then use a lot of fashion tape to get the top part of the dress to cling rather than just draping her her chest. There's a way to make fake boobs out of insulation foam covered in latex so you don't have to throw down hundreds on one of those boob-plates MtFs and drag queens use so even a flat chested twig could cosplay this so long as she was good with sfx latex accessories.

Even the wigs that have the best rainbow effect are often completely flats, rather than flaring upwards in the back like Ragyo's hair does. Likewise, a lot of these girls don't cut the bangs to conform to their own facial structure and they often end up looking too short, or they cut them too blunt and lack those jagged points.

I'm 5'11" with broad shoulders, a 12 inch w/h difference, and strong facial features. If I liked her more as a character and didn't have an aversion to cosplaying currently popular stuff, I'd fashion myself a foam and latex boob plate and give it a go.

Does anyone ever cosplay as Senketsu? I cannot find a single picture and I'm now wondering if I'm the only guy who has done a human Senketsu so far. I really doubt that I am and I want to see other people so that I can feel like shit when their stuff is way nicer.

Mine wasn't really detailed. A shirt sewn to look like his mouth, read headband, eyepatch with the cross in it, black bdu pants, black fingerless gloves, and black boots. I want to make a giant cape to go with it, Gurren Lagann style. I would also like contacts to do the eyes properly.

I like this one but I'm not tall enough to pull it off properly (manlets, when will they learn), so I did my own thing. I took the shirt and ran with it. I might remake the shirt as a v-neck like this one when I make the cape. Not sure if I should have something covering my bare arms, because I think the cape would look cooler without sleeves. I think I'll buy some of that hair gel that tints some of your hair red and use that as well next time. It might look kind of odd since my hair is a pretty deep brown rather than black but natural hair looks better than a wig every time.

It really wasn't an impressive attempt, but I might be able to make it so. You can probably tell which one of these is me. I didn't get my facial expression how I wanted in basically all of the pictures so it looks even worse.

Honestly, the Ryuuko outfits just don't work on dudes. The closest I think someone got was the guy next to me but even that was very plain and meh. Just ask him if he wants to look like these guys or if he wants to be a real man.

To be honest, yeah it kinda was. That picture was near the end when most people had left so it looks really bad though. There was a lot of apprehension from everybody standing around, as if they were afraid everybody was judging their costumes or something. There were also at least fourty photographers at first so it was cramped and awkward.

The Satsuki directing the thing was really nice but prompts for photos were difficult and nobody made an effort to help out. There was a lot of people just waiting around and wondering what to do leading to many people leaving after one or two pictures. I'm not sure what it was, but it was way less goofy and fun than most photoshoots. It might just be the nature of the costumes but most people there seemed to be one or more of intimidated/awkward/angry/bored.

The amount of cosplayers might have been a factor in this too. There were so many Ryuuko's. So many. The nudist beach dudes seemed to be having the most fun with all of their stripping and glowing nipples and such. I think they had the best pictures.

The arm thing in that picture above was my attempt at creating some sort of camaraderie instead of the static "action pose" or awkward standing thing every single other picture did. The shoot wasn't friendly enough, IMO.

With such fun characters, that's really a shame. I was hoping to show up and throw around/piggyback some Makos and to get aggressive with the other characters but ended up finishing my make up right when the photoshoot ended. No one but nudist beach seems to be in character.

I'll be making it to next year's photoshoot for sure, with a better Ryuko cosplay instead of the quick casual one I had for this year. Hopefully it'll be more fun, then.

Nah, I'm the Senketsu next to him. I was smiling at first but then I realized that Senketsu probably wouldn't be smiling so I tried to get stoic right away and didn't get it done in time so it looks like I'm pissed. I was also kind of disheartened because I was really hoping for an awesome "Senketsu and the Harem of Ryuukos" photo and most of them had left by then.

Asian guy was the coolest though. We were talking a bit and when we got in the photo I threw my arm around him and he got all excited and pulled in the guy next to him (who was obviously kind of awkward). I held out my other arm for the girl next to me and she shimmied in as well. I would say this was one of the closest any of the pictures got to showing people having fun with the character they portrayed. There weren't many smiles in all the pictures. The "Mako's Dad and Gamagoori" one had lots of potential but the Gamagoori's didn't seem too into it.

I'm probably going to improve my Senketsu for next year since I seem to be the only Human Senketsu cosplayer in the world as of this moment. He's my favourite character. That was just leftover pieces from my Big Boss costume and a t-shirt that I made. My beard was Big Boss style outrageous too which doesn't work that well with a t-shirt.

Gamagoori is cool, but I wouldn't really want to be him unless I got extremely jacked which I don't think is going to happen lol.

Help with Nonon's goku stars? Basically, this is my 5th iteration and I'm still not happy with how they look, went from not enough coverage but nice shape to what I think now might be too wide...but the bib fabric underneath is slightly bronze from heat so I'd like to get away with as much coverage as possible since I've already trimmed and clipped the seam.
