The designs you see on this thread are confirmed to be in the OTHER Zelda game that is actually a sort of cross over with Dynasty Warriors or something.

I don't play them anymore because they were actually not that great and vastly limited by the technology of the time. Looks like swim pants to me, kinda like what all the Free! cosplayers wear. For the transition from hair to tentacle... I'd probably go with what >>7612293 said and try to do a very cartoony hard gel look for the top and then transition it into the vinyl. Getting a colour match might be pretty difficult though.

Yeah, get a shoulder-length wig with bangs and trim the bangs a little. Always do it with the scissors running parallel to the direction of the hair, otherwise you'll end up with bangs cut straight across and you'll look like shit.

For hair that isn't 1. super short or 2. slicked back, you always, always want to go with a wig. You're never gonna get volume like Link's with your real hair. It's gotta be poofy and spiky and over the top.

Plus, wigs don't get greasy after a day of running around a con, and depending on the way you style it, the volume won't deflate, either.

I have to agree that Zelda 1/2 were pretty bad. It was hard to know where to go, 2 had a weird as fuck leveling system that's not in any other Zelda game...

On the other hand, I LOVED ALttP. I still think it's the best Zelda and it had really fun dungeons, interesting/unique bosses, lovely art, and Link has dat pink hair. It's wonderful.

Look up as many tutorials as you can, start with a cheapo wig to practice cutting, get a sharp pair of shears, and go to town. Then get the final wig (After researching ardaWigs, Ebay, etc for QUALITY more so than price. but check reviews to make sure you're not getting jipped. go to the wig thread for more help and good luck
